In it’s second year, the New York Jets and Nike’s High School Girls Flag Football League has expanded from eight teams to forty-three. In this kickoff episode, go behind the scenes of how the league was able to make this giant leap, and meet the new teams, as they are invited to a launch event at Metlife Stadium. I have been filming Sachem East football coming up on 19 years. Love it. But the excitement of filming the girls first year playing flag football was one of the best experiences I’ve had. Their love for the game and their camaraderie was amazing. Other than last years girls basketball team, the girls on the flag football team was beyond outstanding. They were really into it. We all had so much fun whether it was the players, the outstanding coaches we had, and just me recording it all. I look forward to seeing the sport expand. Suffolk county only had 8 teams its first year. I hope all the schools buy into it. It will really be worth it. I promise!
