@Murphy Brown But Hurts didn’t prove to me that he could carry this team. After the Packers d stopped him from running the ball he had a hard time throwing and was taking sacks. His touchdown pass was more the cornerbacks fault than the receiver getting open. Now I would like to see him start against the Saints and see if he can improve but if he doesn’t then the Eagles wasted another second round pick and caused a QB controversy for nothing.
@MChuck 12-64 He’s a rookie who got his first significant playing time, teams don’t draft a rookie, start them for a single game and throw them away and say back to the drawing board if they don’t live up to expectations. Imagine if Peyton Manning never got to start again after throwing 28 interceptions his rookie year? Talking about scrapping a second round pick after a single game is insane.

@MChuck 12-64 You just said they should start him against the Saints, but if he doesn’t improve they wasted a draft pick. I’m just saying it’s hard to judge someone a waste of a draft pick after their very first NFL start unless they’re REALLY awful. Carson Wentz is struggling HORRIBLY this season, might as well give their 2nd round pick a shot, can’t really get much worse. But again, a lot of it comes down to poor coaching too.

Despite losing the game, the Eagles got life with Hurts when he entered the game. Wentz was seeing ghosts, his field vision was lost in this game. Hurts was poised, let’s see if he gets the start next week. Glad the Packers won when Rodgers had a career setting game.

@lony walnut That’s not how the NFL schedule works. You play everyone in your division twice, all the teams in one division in the NFC and one division in the AFC. The remaining two games go against the teams that placed the same that you did in your division the year before. For example, the Packers were first in their division last year, so they played the 49ers and Eagles who were also first in their divisions last year.
Some chiefs fans are only chiefs fans because they won the super. I’m not even a packers fan but I gotta admit Rodgers is up there

He definitely has potential, pretending you’re able to completely evaluate him from what you’ve seen so far is foolish. The NFL is weird, sometimes people that were gods in college fail hard in the NFL, and sometimes people that look decent in college, end up stepping it up in the NFL. It can be hard to tell. Everyone was saying that about Justin Herbert, that he wouldn’t do anything, and now months later people are calling him OROTY… I’m not saying he’s going to come out and rock the NFL to it’s core, but with how Carson Wentz has played this year, and considering they spent a 2nd round pick on him, they really have nothing to lose by letting him start a game to see how he does.

@Davor Ban Sometimes he literally just sacks himself. Look at the two back to back sacks at 1:30 in the video, especially on the second one, it’s like he’s totally lost and just gives up and runs into a group of defenders. It’s 100% a combo of mental, as well as coaching. He could be so much better, it’s kind of sad to watch.
