Vick said Thursday he felt “10 times better” than he did Wednesday. He also said it would come down to how his hamstring felt Sunday morning.
The Eagles’ practice schedule is unique among NFL teams. They have a moderate training session Tuesday, practice in pads Wednesday and taper Thursday and Friday. There is also an hour-plus practice Saturday.
So Vick was listed as a full participant in the lightest practice of the week. Coach Chip Kelly said all week that Vick was “day to day” and would start if he is cleared by the medical staff.
Nick Foles took first-team reps Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. He was added to the injury report Friday with a groin problem. Foles is officially listed as probable, indicating the injury isn’t serious.
Vick pulled his hamstring late in the first half of Sunday’s 36-21 victory against the New York Giants. He said the pain was “agonizing” Sunday but felt better after treatment Monday.
Foles relieved Vick, throwing two fourth-quarter touchdown passes to help the Eagles to their second win of the season. Foles started six games last season, but lost the competition for the starting job to Vick during the summer.
