@Mike Berry 100%. It’s funny, because I have traditionally thought that Russ would be the best QB in the league if he had more size. When this whole trade thing went down, it made me wonder why Seattle would let him go. It almost feels like a Draft Day movie scenario, where Russ’s attitude and persona was bigger than the team. Says the right things, but none of it is actually genuine. Seeing all of these Seattle fan posts, I am beginning to think I might be right. Being a Missouri guy, I was on board with the Lock pick and knew his primary limitation was his Go Route pass. His arm is so strong, that he tends to throw the ball flat instead of getting the arc on it, needed to hit those go routes. If he is given enough time, then he can make them when they are really deep, but the shorter go route touch is what he struggled with. While they are important, they still only account for like 3 or so throws a game. Denver fans absolutely lit Drew up for his very real press conferences, because he didn’t sound like a veteran. It’s nice to see Seattle fans embracing it vs. what they say seemed to be very canned responses from Russ. We’ll see how it goes, but I hope Drew lights up the Broncos week one, but then they get their butts together and go win a SuperBowl.
