I still have hope in Lock. I know that he is young and is still learning, but his mentality and ability to stay positive is really showing me how he can be a great leader.

He may become a great QB but currently he looks more Jake Plummer, Bubby Brister talent wise than John Elway, Peyton Manning. At least we’re not pulling him so we’re going to find out. Maybe next year they can pull it all together on offense. If only we could have waited one more year for Herbert….

    NATHAN SWEETING

@Mark Horning Yeah we will have to see how he progresses throughout the final games. I think a lot of it is to blame on the offensive coaching. But I think that if Lock can fix his footwork then he should be alright

    Mark Horning

@NATHAN SWEETING That’s the if. You can kinda tell he comes into the game thinking too much and then he also misses wide open receivers due to his footwork. However, if anyone can remember, Elway at times looked awful early on.. throwing way too hard and into the dirt all the time and he turned out alright. I’ve been of the mind that we’d be pretty much how we are this year and that next year it would start to come together. Maybe if the kid actually gets two consecutive years in the same offense, the real Lock will step forward.

He just played an amazing game, and you say you say you got hope in him?

    Mark Horning

@mecha might I’d take off the orange colored glasses, he started 0-6 with an int… he finished 28th in the (highly overrated) QBR from the NFL for the week. He wasn’t terrible but, amazing? I’d not go that far. Make that 28th out of 30 qbs no touchdowns, even Tua was rated higher (guess due to the 1 td pass completed… which Lock had 0… again.)

i wouldnt exactly call 0TDs, 1INT a bounce back game man. dudes proving time and time again that hes just there to be average

Mark Horning

To be real, our D had a field day with an OL that at one point had two rookie tackles in there and another of their interior starters out due to injuy… so we should have had that many sacks.

One issue is fans are too accustomed to instant gratification. They aren’t willing to give Lock the time he needs to develop into a franchise QB. They want everything now and if they can’t get it now then it’s not worth having to them. There’s a reason we were able to get lock in the second round, it was pretty clear from day one he was not NFL ready and would need a few seasons to mature into the role before it would even be clear if he was built for the job or not. Fans don’t want that, but that’s what the broncos signed up for with lock. Personally I thought he had a good game, if you only look at the stats then you don’t get the full story. He showed a lot of improvements in areas that he’s been struggling in all season long. Will he continue to improve next week? Who knows. I’m more concerned about next season than next week.

tody (if it’s spelled this way) is just another homophobic slur. Screw that guy.

    Evan Wahlstrom

WRONG! Get a real education. It’s spelled “toady’, and it describes someone who sucks up to someone else

People keep saying our D Line did great, I also want to give credit to that pass coverage!! Had the clampdown coverage!!

I give credit to the whole team! I am looking forward to our next game. The second half of the season is going to be good.
