@sabishiihito QBs are by far the most important single player position which is why it is always talked about. You mentioned the Ravens, Bucs and Broncos… well they’re amongst the greatest defenses in all of history. This reinforces our points because you’re basically saying without a great QB… all you need is an all-time great defense. And if we’re honest, there’s no reason to believe we’ll have one this year.

Matt Ryan did play well. Brady played better and won SB MVP.

@Charlie Kelly even the biggest cog in a machine is just a cog, the rest of the parts of the machine need to be functioning well for it to do what it was designed to do. Tom Brady got a LOT of help from his defense in that game because it only gave up 7 pts in the 2nd half, it wouldn’t have mattered how well he played if Atlanta had continued to score.

@sabishiihito Belichick’s philosophy has been to stack and coach the defense more so than the offense because he has GOAT Brady. Matt Ryan had Julio Jones, Taylor Gabriel, and Devante Freeman. All of them were better than Brady’s weapons including James White because James White is likely a nobody if not for Brady. Whenever White got injured, Deion Lewis would step in and be just as good as White. Another non-probowler/late draft pick who is never spoken about now that he’s a Titan.

Brady in that SB had 0 WRs or RBs whoever made a probowl in their careers or got drafted in earlier than the 4th round. Gronk was out and aging Bennet was his only good TE. It is unbelievable what Tom Brady did and if not for his all-time great performance… what his defense did would be meaningless. And again, without Brady (The QB) taking paycuts and winning with cheaper targets (no Michael Thomas, Julio, AB, Tyreek, etc.) Belichick’s defense can’t be funded as it almost always has due to the salary cap.

@Charlie Kelly did you ever consider that Josh McDaniels looked at the film from the 1st half and developed a better offensive strategy for the 2nd? Heck in the later SB vs the Rams he drew up a trick play at halftime that got the offense going.

@sabishiihito Josh McDaniels is one of the most overrated OCs I’ve ever seen/heard of in my life. He has been a complete embarrassment every single year he’s been without Brady. He’s run the bottom of the league offenses every year without Brady including actually being last (ranked #32 with St Louis) yet never leaves top-10 offenses with Brady. What McDaniels did to Indy was also so embarrassing.

Congrats on him calling some trick plays though. Let’s see how that all works out for him in the upcoming years.
