I think having too much information can be a bad thing, so I like that scouts and coaches have to rely more on the tape more this year. Trust the tape and you’ll have a good draft.

I like Mac Jones live and on tape, but I’d want to trade back and hope. I’d really need to Mac sure he’s constantly working on his body. I can guaranteed that you have great weapons. If Farley is gone and by some miracle Kyle Pitts is there, I’m taking Kyle Pitts🤷🏽‍♂️

O-Line and defense all the rest would be nonsense. Or Jerry Jones let Dak walk coz he wanna pay DLaw and Jaylon Smith and all those nobodies who got the big money and never showed up on the defense again and not Dak ! And we as Miss. State Fans would like that. Dak deserves better as Jerry Jones, way better ! And we are tired to see this blabla about Dak is our men but when it comes to money he is the enemy. Dak should go to Jerry Jones and tell him … pay me or i dont show up here and sit out ! And next season he goes to the Giants or Washington and then Cowboys byebye playoffs for the next 10 years. Maybe anyone should tell that front office that Dak is a free agent next season .. 57 M for the tag .. NO … And Dak decides where he goes and not any Cowboy.

My thoughts are the Cowboys should not sign dak long term. Find a way to trade him. Sign Cam, Tryod Taylor, Andy, Alex Smith or any other Bridge Qb and they will be good enough to win NFC East and get in playoffs as long as O line is healthy. Then they will have plenty on of money to build a good team. If you sign Dak the team stays bad. He isn’t worth it.

Cowboys take Surtain at 10 and play it safe .If he is gone my guess is a trade down .Ok .Horne , Jenkins or Slater would be great picks 12-20 range .

    In that pack, Slater is the best player. Horn is second, so why not take either of them at 10? Why settle for a #2 corner in the league when you could have the best lineman in the draft or the best corner in the draft? Just curious.

    @dono be da best Why ? Is there that much of a telnet difference between Surtain and Horn ?You could get Horne and pick up at least a 3 rd rounder by trading down . Same goes for trading down and getting Jenkins .Is Slater that much of a better player than him ?

    @Barry Irvin I would love to trade down and get Horn or Slater at 18 or 19 and pick up 50 or 51 but l can’t guarantee either one of us would be there. The difference between Horn and Surtain is Horn is both more physical and more athletic than Horn. His hips are more fluid and his ball skills are better. His route recognition is better. The only thing Surtain has over Horn is technique and it’s a minuscule amount. Horn excels in the slot and outside, while Surtain is a pure outside corner who needs the boundary and an over the top safety as his help. He is quick but not fast and his long speed is very suspect. I trust Jaycee Horn with no safety help on an island but Surtain l do not. I also trust Horn against speed receivers and great route runners but Surtain l do not. I trust Surtain against big, physical receivers like Mike Evans, Deandre Hopkins or Michael Gallup. I don’t trust him against Davante Adams or Amari Cooper. I trust Horn can fare well against all of them. Slater is just flat out a better player at a higher value position than them both. So l’m saying why not take either of them instead of Surtain instead of saying they would be great at 12 instead of 10. Again l want to trade back.

    @dono be da best Great comments .I have done Draft Network draft simulator 100 times or more and Slater ,Darrisaw , Horn ,Surtain and Farley are all gone by the 20th pick .I really want Slater at 10 then Horn .Your analysis was top notch .Thanks .Inope your right .Surtain at 10 would be boring and predictable.Slater at worse could play left guard and be much better than Williams until Smith retires or is cut .I agree on your comments on Horn .

    I know what you mean. This show was hosted by Dave and carried by Brugler and Broaddus. I like the addition of Brooks and Cavanaugh, but the show is much different than it was.

It never fails; whenever they bring up Trevon Diggs they bring up the fact that he is a former WR. This just in: MOST Defensive Backs are former WRs who either didn’t stand out at one time as a receiver or just got caught up in a number’s game. Usually, they’re former WRs who couldn’t catch a cold. I guess that’s why they get moved and that’s why a interception-machine Is a HIGHLY touted Draftee. We haven’t had one of those in quite a while (a DB who put up double-digit sacks) but we HAVE had a shutdown CB in Jones but his release, instead of retention, can be traced to not his high price tag but his lack of turnovers. Defense, defense, defense this Draft!
And while I wouldn’t want him at 10, Mac Jones could end up being just as great a QB as Tom Brady (I mean it’s POSSIBLE but VERY UNLIKELY) and his best chance for that would be behind a great OL like The Great Wall of Dallas.. Physically, Jones has a better build than Tom Terrific but being a good to great QB in the NFL is 50% talent and 50% football intelligence. Most people today (I’m 62) want the latest and greatest type of QB like Mahomes (Jerry has Patty Cakes Fever!) but the classic pocket passer can still be successful behind a great OL, with great weapons and a propensity for protection of the football.

    On Mac Jones, I agree with you. He is what Parcells prefers, a game manager. Jones struggled trying to do too much. When they told him to manage the game, it all clicked for him. In my view, that is what Brady is – a game manager. A stout defense is imperative for game managing QBs.

I hope they don’t pick LB until the 3rd or later unless these guys have position flexibility between LB & S. Getting 2 of those types of LBs could REALLY help our D but the reason I say to wait Drafting LBs is because Dallas has shown the 1st year or 2 our Drafted LBs play GREAT……then they disappear.

I wished they had given Dane the choice of these Draft scenarios:
Patrick Surtain & Richie Grant (my DREAM 1st & 2nd Draft Picks for us) or
Patrick Surtain & Walker Little.
I hope Surtain is still there at 10 and that Grant is there at 44. But I am an old veteran of the Draft so I know it RARELY goes the way I want it to. If it had, we DEFINITELY would have won a Super Bowl. I live in Michigan and back when Brady was available in the Draft, I was begging them to take him (as a young developmental QB) but of course he lasted until almost the 300th Pick! 🤬

This show on one hand talks about the Dak contract saga, then acts like the only QBs in the draft are the top 4. Remember that every QB drafted ahead of Dak is no longer with their drafting team. Time to talk about the second group of QBs in this draft who can manage the game or playmakers. I would rather see Cowboys draft a backup QB who plays like Dak than another Dalton-like backup.
