He looked pissed when answering these questions
This should be titled: “Doug pours cold water all over everybody in effort to protect Carson Wentz’s feelings.”
Hurts played well, but >200 yards passing isn’t as if he did the best job in the world and blew up the league. It seemed that everyone else played well too, and receivers got open/ o-line decided to actually block today, which was nice, but something Carson WAS NOT afforded.

@Pace oline blocked the same but Hurts made better reads, better checkdowns and better audibles and of course can run the RPO’s light years better than Wentz..
Carson would’ve been sacked 5 or 6 times today cause he is immobile and a sitting duck..Hurts was able to maneuver his way around when the line didnt hold up and get not only positive yardage but first downs and big plays….

@Pace That’s the whole point. Wentz was not elevating the level of play in the players around him. Hurts did. That’s why wins and losses are a QB stat. Wentz is a mess, and hasn’t showed half the poise all season that a rookie showed today. “Sub-200 yds” (and 106 yds rushing) vs a 10-2 team with the top ranked defense in the NFL is just fine with me. I don’t know what happened to Carson Wentz. But he’s a broken QB and he’s not winning that game today.
@Pace bro u sick as hell. the teams entire scheme fit around hurtz looked better than with wentz. hurtz made better reads, checkdowns, audibles, and can always show athleticism. hurtz knew how to evaluate his players and make the best out them. unlike carson who would panic in the pocket run all over the place and get sacked 5 times. the teams perfomance was well today because they evaluated with jalens performance better. 160 yrds from a rookie first game is acceptable enough and secondly we beat a 10-2 team in the top 5 of defenses. hurtz was able to make his way around the line and get first downs and third down converts and made bigger plays. the teams scheme fit looked better around hurtz give him his credit ! there has been plenty of times were the players has been playing excellent and wentz still coudlnt finish the game because he doesnt learn from his mistakes

It’s kinda cringy how Doug doesn’t want to give Jalen much credit because he doesn’t want to stir things up with Carson. I mean we all see it…. I LOVE CARSON, but Jalen just took his spot unfortunately/fortunately. It’s whatever is best for this football team… so it is what it is.

@Pace 180 yards passes on 30 attempts is good alongside 105 rushing yards…he extended plays and drives..he gave players more time to get open and by extending drives with his legs he gave players more opportunities to make plays..sanders doesnt have a 80 yard td run if hurts doesnt convert that 3td and long with his legs.he had 0 sacks and 0 ints.2 things wentz leads the league in …the biggest thing is hes a rookie making his 1st start against the #1 defense
@Pace Steve’s right tho..the excuse for wentz are getting old and incredibly bad at this point..we havent beat a team with a winning g record all year to we put a rookie I. Offense hasn’t scored more than 17 points in 2 months till we put a rookie in.

Seems like Doug was upset that he now has to bench Carson for Jalen with proof now being available. He may have thrown Jalen to NO thinking they would eat him alive, but Jalen showcased and now he is forced to make a hard decision. 0 sacks compared to …., D-line was blowing past Eagles O-line, but Jalen remained composed instead of panicking and moved his legs. Give some credit Doug, this was hard to watch.
I love the team concept. Especially when it comes to credit to winning but had it been wentz they would’ve gave him all the praise.
So Doug Peterson’s play-calling IS the problem! The Eagles prevailed DESPITE him because of Jalen Hurtz’ natural athleticism and leadership ability.
He really sounds like he hate he put Jalen out there. He was expecting a loss so he can stopped being hounded about not using Jalen. Looks like he wanted him to FAIL!! But you picked the wrong guy for that.

@sauliiito1 That might be the simple answer, but it seems like there’s something much more going on behind the scenes with Doug. Like maybe a team mutiny, or he knows he’s not getting his contract extended or something. Not a happy guy after such a big win.
