I think our ceiling this year is a 10 win team. The talent is clearly there, but execution doesn’t always occur. The best teams perform consistently, something the Vikings haven’t been for a few years.

as a vikings fan, i feared the lions because they’re a “never say die” kind of team. but for the defense to stop them, kirk/kj scoring a touchdown, and the defense stopping them again to end the game was incredible

@Emrow As a Lions fan, we did get away with multiple calls and we deserved to lose this game. I’m used to it watching the Lions for 22 years. Good luck next week to the Vikings. Hopefully the Lions will at least have a race for the wild card so when we meet you in Detroit it’s another good game π€
@Emrow @11:08 You’re right, it was supposed to be a comeback and Thielen got got trying the veteran move of the subtle pushoff before the comeback. He ran into #24 trying to get his momentum going backwards and AO stood his ground (and grabbed) to move forward on the comeback which was destined for the first down marker. CB’s sit on those and get their momentum going forward when the receiver is breaking making it a more difficult catch (if possible, ) because #1 he can see it the whole way and #2 he’s anticipating since it was 4th and what 6? So fair play to the official who didn’t call it because it was essential PI both ways.

It takes some time for a team to get in rhythm with new schemes on both sides of the ball, going from defensive HC to offensive HC… the fact they’re winning now is a good sign. It will get better for sure

That is a convenient excuse…..usually used by GM’s and coaches who are getting their doors blown off…….the Vikings are just pretenders …..same as every year……and until they get a real QB……it won’t change…..Cousins is never going to lead a team to the big one.
I hope so, i know they’re all good players but it feels like they take ages to warm up and it took kirk half the game to remember he had more than JJ to throw to.
New staff, new complex offense and a brand new defensive scheme we havenβt ran in over a decade. Iβm just grateful weβre not in a rebuild. Love this team

Yup that’s worth 2 games essentially. Obviously you have to a overall better record than other divisional teams but being 2-0 bodes well for playoff chances.

After watching the Vikings fall flat when it mattered most so many times last year, and despite the way this game started, this was a refreshing finish to watch.
The lions really played that like you would play a madden game. Going for it on every fourth down.

Nice stuff from both teams. As a Lions fan, they βsnatched defeat from the jaws of victory.β But really an entertaining game with a few weird coaching decisions and a few missed opportunities from both teams. Both teams were out there giving it what they had π

Watching the game, when the Lions got the ball back with ~3 minutes left, I said, βif they lose this game, itβs because they got conservative to solely try and burn clock HOPING to pick up a firstβ and thatβs exactly what happened. Instead of playing soft, keep up the aggressiveness and pick up the yards. Theyβre were flowing all game. That stopped all momentum.
This lions offense is getting TDβs like crazy. So much so, that weβve even set a record with 11 straight quarters with a TD. Out defenses has to follow up with that and get stops though.
I know Justin Jefferson hasn’t been having good games the past couple of weeks, but him on the field opens up so many other players. Even if he isn’t getting big numbers, his impact is undeniable.
