A total beat down today. The defense look like the 1-6 defense, wave at the ball carrier as they go by.

The main thing that really bothered me was Goff staying in until the bitter end when he didn’t have to – he took some massive hits; namely one late hit by Derrick Brown that stopped the momentum of his throwing arm. That type of hit can gravely injure a QB or even end their career (ruin their shoulder). I understand Goff is a fighter and wanted to finish the game, but in my eyes it was a big mistake and unnecessary.
The Lions Offense has playoff potential. The Defense, not so much.
Need to use majority of our picks next year on defense forsure

We need both the hawks and the commanders to go at least 1-1 next two games.

We had too much faith behind the team coming into this game. This game didn’t make me doubt MCDC more than it made me question the integrity of our defense. love AG but we made zero adjustments at halftime and that blew my mind
I’ve never seen a team get the ball ran on them like that and I’m sad it was my lions that it happened to.
Thats what happens when the refs let your oline hold on every play.
It was like Carolina knew what plays the lions were running. On the running plays they had 9 players in the box, and Goff never checked out and threw it. They when the lions wanted to pass, the panthers had 6 back in coverage

Our defense still needs improvement, and the debate is over on QB. Goff is a top 10 QB in this league and proved it once again, another 300+ yard game and hes tough as nails taking those hits late in the game.
I’m a lions fan because of my father who passed away 2 years ago he would have loved to see what’s going on right now however I was majorly concerned about this game I like what they’ve done the past six games but I believe they received way too much attention for what they were doing and to the point where I think some pressure was created when it might not have been there before and it turned into so much hype it made me feel uncomfortable and although I was confident they were going to show up and at least play pretty good I didn’t expect what I saw in the first half that was an abomination and I although I didn’t predict this I was very very concerned that something like this might happen
The Lions gave up more yards rushing in the first 2 minutes of this game than they did all of last week against the Jets and that set the tone for this entire game
Being a Carolina fan, don’t let this dampen your enthusiasm. Detroit is a great team all around and I fear what they will bring next season. I truly think if this game was played on any other day of the week, the Lions would’ve killed us. Y’all are in great hands with DC as the coach, and I hope y’all make the playoffs because Detroit will make the most of it more than Carolina would
Yes I’ve seen a lot of negativity since this loss . I feel like we are still headed in the right direction . This may possibly have exposed some of our weaknesses . We have a lot of very good draft picks in the coming up draft and also money to spend in free agency .

This week played out like a wash for the wildcard, all the contenders lost. That kinda makes it more bitter though because we’d be sitting at the 7th if we’d have played defense today

DeShon Elliot was what was missing. He makes significant plays on defense for our Detroit Lions.
This was a tough game, we were not ready and that’s on the coaches. maybe it had something to do with a short week, Elliot being out, and going to Carolina early to avoid the storm but there is no excuse for losing like this to a team that isn’t that great. I think Dan Campbell will have this team ready against the Bears in the Den next week, then we got another road game to Lambo and we definately better be ready for that. We got a break because everyone loss that needed to in order to keep us alive but we have to win these last two games and with a little help we can still make the playoffs. Coach took accountability and admitted we were not ready and it’s on him, I respect that and now he has to have them ready next time
It’s behind us now let’s get ready for Bears, let this be a learning experience and get better every week 👍.
