The more I see Goff conduct himself the more I think he has a shot at being “The Guy” moving forward for the Lions. A shiny new QB in the draft though is also tempting. I’m torn.
Him saying the right things has never been the problem.

Nothing about the QBs in THIS class look shiny at all. If we move on from Goff later, it’ll be with a QB in next years class.

I going to say it again this year as i did last year. Im a second year season ticket holder and a 45 year Lions fan. If you dont like what the Coaches and Players are doing, MOVE ON!!! Stop the whinning and crying as it makes you look foolish!! i support Jared, his Teammates and the Coaches, we are Going to have a great year!! ONE PRIDE!!
A ticket holder don’t make your opinion matter more, plus it’s okay to have a different point of view, to support Goff is okay but this franchise will stay open minded because honestly Goff is a average at best QB

Agreed. I’m 59 and still waiting, but it just feels like this is the right coaching staff to build a playoff (and beyond) caliber team. Detroit will go freaking nuts!! It will be glorious!!!
I hope we wait until next draft to draft a QB and see how good Jared really is. I honestly don’t care what we do, let’s just not reach on a QB this draft.
That’s not the Lions way. They will definitely extend Goff keeping him around much longer regardless if he does well or not. I’m just waiting for them to do it.

Oh yeah the next draft will be great at QB. *sarcasm! This class was supposed to he great. Howell was supposed to be special going into the season. Next years class has questions too. Alabamas QB is undersized and CJ Stroud isnt a guarantee to do anything. Decent prospects but thats it.

I agree playoffs this year unless injuries happens.
I would not say playoffs but they will be at least 7-10 for sure. Playoffs are possible but i will be happy with anything better than 7-10

I can’t stand our media group. I know it’s their job to ask these questions, but you could just tell that some questions were annoying goff. Like don’t ask him questions that aren’t for him.

I’m not going to lie to you and tell you that I was sold on Goff from the day of the trade. It took a while to really let him settle in before I allowed myself to judge his play on the field, but I learned early enough that Goff’s character was enough of a solid foundation to build that trust. For on the field play, however, the moment I gained full trust in Goff was when he got hit hard on a first down play against Arizona, missed only a single play and came right back out to ball. That toughness does not exist in a player who lacks faith in their team, nor does it exist in a self-serving “team mate”. Jared, you have more than earned the right to have this season as YOUR statement, especially with the team that surrounds you. Believe in your coaches and management as you have, believe in the men on the field with you, and believe in yourself. Good luck.
I’m still not sold on Goff as the starting QB of the future. A team has to win because of their QB when he’s making 30 million a season.
His contract is up after next season. Prove it year for him.
He was only included to have a good decent qb to help through the rebuild. It’s up to him if he wants to be the guy he has the perfect opportunity to earn it because this year expectations are a little higher last year was just a go out and see what we have
I hope Jared learned how to throw a proper spiral and gotten more touch on the football. Every time he throws the ball, it always comes out all wobby. If he improves at that, that would make him much better as a QB.

If Goff had faith in his self he’ll be openly lobbying for Garrett Wilson, especially if I know it’s someone on the board that can take my job at 2. Lol
They need to add subtitles for the guys asking questions, can’t always hear what they say/ask. Really hope Goff steps with with better talent this year.
We need Bret Fare, Leader , Grit, put the team on his shoulders & win.
This guy has number one overall talent, let’s give them time here in Detroit to properly assess if he’s the guy. I have faith in Brad Holmes and the staff that he has assembled.
Didn’t Goff finish the season with a pretty decent TD to Int ratio once he got settled? If that carries over we could be looking at a significantly (not saying much I know) better record.
Goff gonna win the Super Bowl with a Walk Off Touchdown!!!
