Detroit Lions at New York Jets 2022 Week 15 Postgame Breakdown | Twentyman in the Huddle

In this postgame episode of Twentyman in the Huddle presented by Microsoft, Tim Twentyman and producer PJ Clark break down the Detroit Lions’ 20-17 win over the New York Jets in Week 15. The two discuss a different kind of Lions win than usual, a low-scoring, defensive effort with timely plays from Brock Wright and Kalif Raymond. Tim and PJ break down the game-winning 51-yard touchdown, Romeo Okwara’s clutch two-sack performance and another big game from rookie linebacker James Houston. After giving some love to Jerry Jacobs on his first career interception, the two discuss what this latest win means for Detroit's playoff chances and look ahead to next week’s game against the Carolina Panthers. Check back after every Detroit Lions game for Tim’s instant reaction, analysis and postgame sound from players and Dan Campbell.

Penalties cropped up in this game more than any other during this run. Seemed out of character and Brown and Ragnow looked a bit perplexed at being called for holding in the game. I will say the Wrolstad crew does not generally call a bunch of penalties during games, second fewest to Bill Vinovich’s crew.

    Cody Uren

out of character on both sides, numerous times after a play jets were pushing players and throwing slaps. Two TDs called back. this game shouldnt of been close, but these are the wins you have to win.

Testament to NYJ defense and d line more specifically. We don’t take many holding calls but a good defense can make you stumble a bit. Might run into the same problem against Carolina.

    Thomas Szymanski

They were perplexed because they were bad calls. The kinds of holds they got called on them happen on every play. Which means the Jets should have been flagged way more than they were.

Doug Saint

I suspected the officials were leaning towards the jets, definitely questionable calls against the lions… the better team prevailed anyway.

What’s funny, is looking over the Jets blog column comment sections after the game it was LOADED with Jets fans complaining about how they weren’t getting any calls in the game yesterday. It felt like we had a ton of penalties, but I think only 6 ended up enforced?

Sorry Peej for our Lions ruining your Sunday. You look so sad. Heartbreaking

As a Lioness. BE WITH. OR BE GONE

Maybe it’s because they’re young but what I see is, at the start of games they sometimes seem antsy, and that can lead to a few( fixable) mistakes. They started the season slow on defense in a similar fashion because the defense was so green. They had to catch up to the offense but now that they’ve taken their lumps they’ve really settled in and shown why Holmes drafted them!

One pride lion pride!!!!!!!!!!!! 7-7 500

Who is this kid, PJ? He seems eerily like Jamie Sameulsen reincarnated.
