It’s possible that Trufant – with a 2/$10.5M per year deal – and a 3rd and 5th is better value than Slay and his 3/$17M per year deal.
We saved money got a good CB in return plus picks. And possibly our next franchise CB with #3 pick.
Definitely better value to me.

Desi isn’t really a press man coverage guy..but he’s tough as nails and competes with anybody. This guy played Mike Evans,Michael Thomas twice a year and Doug Baldwin also he’s competitive as heck! How ever his aggressive style cost them big plays at times,u have to play Tampa 2 when he’s aggressive or it’s night night. Still I’m interested to see how the scheme changes with all these different types of guys…? He has two really good blitzing dbs, will he blitz more? He also has two rangy safetys will he deploy more single safety looks presnap n dart Harmon out deep post snap? Idk guys what do you think?

No it’s not lol he was injured last yr and slay stats are inflated bcs of a great 2017 season which was his all pro year. Trufant was better in his 9 games he played last year. Slay was good in 18 and ok 19
please trade down, we need to accumulate assets and begin to assemble the core. this class is deep.
13 interceptions in 7 years and he had 4 last year…. that’s not good especially when he’s supposed to replace slay
