Desmond Ridder is the future and gonna turn the franchise around

    Henry Hof

@America First! oh and joe burrow?

    Anthony Downs

@America First! Tom Brady ? High draft pick? Time will tell and there’s a long list first and second round Qb’s that didn’t show case the skills to make it. News flash Matt Ryan isn’t here anymore. He was good and bad at times. Even a interception machine at times. No one is perfect. Time will tell!

    AtlantaSportsFan

@America First! dak and Russell Wilson were literally 3 round picks . And they are literally franchise Qbs …

    Crown Lion

@America First! how many top QB’s that were hyped up that actually lived up to the hype? Most were busts or average at best! There are no guarantees in these picks…Mariota was drafted #2 overall and has to worry about this Ridder kid taking his spot lol

    MurGod777

@America First! got to be negative, how about give him the opportunity to prove himself before you write him off. I swear I cannot stand some of our own fans because of being negative smh

GhOsT PePpErS

Ridder already sounds like Vet & Leader.

    GhOsT PePpErS

@The Joker Q bro: What happen to the ones, who did nothing but pray on Ryan’s downfall claiming to be Falcons fans for years? *Crickets* 😂

    The Joker

@GhOsT PePpErS questions irrelevant lol because they would have gotten what they wished for. I thought Ryan was great up until a year after the SB. Then I saw the decline and wanted them to draft a qb to learn under his wing. Unfortunately the old regime refused and now we are in this predicament but thankfully we have ARTHUR SMITH AND TERRY stretching out what they got.

    GhOsT PePpErS

@The Joker Irrelevant questions…Nah I call BS on that because Ryan is gone now, so what’s the excuse for them not having any Atlanta Falcons talking points?😂 Let’s call a spade a spade, They weren’t Falcon fans from the beginning, only pessimistic pretenders. Also I completely understand about wanting to go a different direction earlier. However, when Ryan put up similar numbers to his MVP season in 2018, that justified his extension/stay. Before/After Ryan & Julio contract extension, defensive side of the ball for the most part was hot garbage. As a matter of fact…From 2011 to 2020 Ryan’s numbers where pretty identical.

    The Joker

@GhOsT PePpErS he had all those weapons around. His numbers should be similar 🤣 I don’t think am aging qb needed to be the highest paid qb during a decline especially with no Superbowl wins.

    GhOsT PePpErS

@The Joker I could’ve sworn I said, “I completely understand about wanting to go a different direction earlier.” Q: How can decline be the reason after the SB, when Ryan put up similar numbers as his MVP season in 2018? Another thing…I find it hilarious people love bragging about the 2017 defense, but completely avoid discussing the Falcons wide receiver core lead the league in drops and ended up ranking 7th overall in drop passes.

Isaac Green

The more I hear ridder talk the more I feel better about the pick ! great pick ATL

    Tony Wright

@$LibrixJones Exactly, I did not want to draft Malik Willis because in my eyes he’s a bust, Willis’s last three regular season collegiate games were all losses at Mississippi where he threw 3 interceptions, versus Louisiana Lafayette and versus Army where he threw 3 interceptions

    Jojo96

The pick was already great from a from a value standpoint.
Even if he shouldn’t get the job we only gave up a 3rd round pick.

    rashad 365

    Lmaooo he sounds mature

    Matty Ghost

@Tony Wright Exactly…Ole Miss the zone blitzed him lol…He couldn’t read the coverages…

    Doug Pancoast

I’m more concerned with how he plays than how he talks

Kurtis B. Music

I’m gonna support Ridder 100% until he proves otherwise. He’s got plenty of time to learn and grow. Hopefully he becomes the leader that this team needs. 🙏🏼

    Jumpout boi Ben10

    Great comment💪🏼

    Szn

    Facts!

    Bullet Ploof Grass

When mariota inevitably gets hurt I’m curious to see what he can do

    Nathan Price

It’s gonna be interesting to see how much patience they have with him especially with the quarterback class next year

    William Stephens

He’s actually got about a year but I’m not rooting against him. Our schedule is crazy and if we are bad enough to be in position to draft a top tiered QB in next year’s draft it will happen . He’s only a third round pick so their isn’t a big commitment to him .so he’s got his work cut out for him . Needs to get on the field and show enough to dissuade the organization from using a high first round pick on a QB

Rod Diesel TV

Falcons fan I think we got our future QB1 he already talks like a leader so now we just have to see what he’s like an a NFL game.

    Ali

@6ixszn these clowns thinks any QB drafted is “our qb of the future”.

    MurGod777

@Ali how about have confidence in your QB we drafted opposed to be negative

    TheBeastAmongUs

@Ali I bet you wanted Willis lmao

    Rick don

One nfl game won’t cut it.. no we need to see what he’s like for 1 year atleast

    TheBeastAmongUs

@Rick don I think it’s fair to give it about 5 years because who knows what happens

Isaiah

This is our guy I can feel it

3 ,.,

I like the attitude Desmond has 🙂 looking forward to seeing him play

Pancho Villa

I see why the front office fell in love with him. How he carries himself reminds me a lot of Matt Ryan.

    Daniel Parkerson

@qbvick yeah. The mvp, future hof qb has no alpha.
I found the casual, probably teenage Falcons fan.

    CMac

I was gna comment the same thing lol he does sound similar to Matty Ice. Definitely sounds like a future leader for sure! Love the pick, hated it draft night but I hope Ridder becomes starter sooner rather then later so the pick makes sense…if he needs an entire year why didn’t we just wait and go after Stroud etc? Ya know

    Mirza Baig

The cadence of their voice is very similar

    IfYouIgnoreMeYouAreRacist999

@Michael Graham im just naturally optimistic lol

Nick bagnulo

Loving the ridder pick
Alot of up side

Some down side
That can be fixed
Throwing to his right
Accuracy
That can be fixed

In college
Ridder didn’t have much of a o line
Or weapons
13-0
Playoff apperance

Give him a o line and weapons
WITH A D WATCH OUT

Cant wait to see ridder
Hopefully he dosent let me down

    Shaggy

Well if you give any QB a oline, weapons, and defense they’ll obviously succeed

    Trent Wheeler

    He definitely had weapons?
Cincinnati had 8 players drafted this year not included Ridder. And yes only 2 were offensive players but you can’t say that Pierce and Jerome Ford aren’t weapons.

    Trent Wheeler

He still is going to have a lot to prove he’s talking like he already knows the playbook. He’s definitely going to get his chance this year though. No way Mariota stays healthy the whole year. And he was upset by the fact he was drafted so late but hopefully that gives him a chip on his shoulder.

Kbonics86

Ridder already sounds like Matt year 1. I think the Falcons have their QB1 for the future

Pancho Villa

The more and more I hear from this class man, I’m becoming more confident in the guys they’ve brought through this draft. #RiseUp #DirtyBirds

    Szn

Dirty bird uprising!! Love this class

Szn

Desmond is a great leader in the making. Love drake and the new squad. I’m very optimistic about this group

InspectorDec

Holy crap! Desmond giving off true leadership vibes. He is dialed in and leading these guys already.

    Frederick Hunter

    Holy is not crap

    Adam Mosely

@Frederick Hunter-_- just had to be that guy.

A. Stoner

I was hoping we took ridder over Willis since day one. I was ecstatic when we got him in a late round. Wish him all the success. If not… well we can shoot for stroud or young next year.

    LaValle Barlow

I wanted Malik but I’m behind my Falcons and Ridder.

    A. Stoner

@LaValle Barlow Willis is a great combine athlete but my concerns were his lack of ability to win the starting job at a quality school & throwing 18 picks in 2 seasons against mid comp. His decision making/reading defenses need some work.

    LaValle Barlow

@A. Stoner I was intrigued by his escape ability but it’s hard for any rookie to prosper

Achilles Builds

I feel like Matt Ryan taught Ridder how to talk to the media lol. They have the same vibe.

Elijah Crawford

I’m not gonna lie he definitely sounds like a starting Quarterback in the NFL

    j s

    Gives me Mahomes vibes

    LaValle Barlow

    Facts

Tyler Smith

If he’s half as good a player as he is a leader then the future is looking bright for the falcons. I love everything I’ve heard from him. I would think he’s been in the league for 10 years if I never knew who he was. The draft picks and off season moves actually have me excited again about this teams future.

    Caleb Holloway

I like the mentality that the guys are drafting

Paul Thompkins

My heart was broken when we treated Matt the way we did and he left but I can’t help but be impressed by Ridder.

Kelly Arnette

As a Cincinnati Bearcat fan I can’t wait to see Desmond playing and contributing to the Atlanta Falcons. We are so excited and so proud of him here in Cincy!

Kyle Smith

We behind you 100% Desmond! He’s got a winning qb mind set
