It’s not a question of if he will be back to normal it’s when. Everybody will know when he’s back and feeling comfortable. He’s going to be a top 5 QB again next season. He sounds like he knows what preparation is….. Lets goooooo.

@Keith Ford — If he knows what preparation is, What was he doing the last 6 months to prepare for last Sunday’s game? Apparently nothing — because that is how it looked. I just have a problem with paying a guy this much $$ and he looks this bad in his first game back. I know he couldn’t practice with team, but there are things he could have been working on to keep from performing this bad. Hope he turns it around quick and is worth this big $$.
@edias3635 Honestly, there’s nothing u can do to prepare for real live action and nerves. Put the money aside. Nobody who has been off for 700 days and coming back with no live action is going to light it up, and if they did, it was luck. He will be better moving forward, but u can’t put a time limit on it, he will get better each week. He showed enough to see the potential on what the offense can look like. Everybody is looking at what the contract looks like, but the real reality is he hasn’t played enough.

When the Browns said they wanted an ‘adult’ at quarterback, this is what they meant. There’s no snark and no moxie with Deshaun, just humility and a thorough understanding of the game. He will return to prime form.

Everything he says was wrong in the first game is exactly what the tape showed. He is pointing out exactly what he had a few issues with. This man knows exactly how to get back to who he is. The trust the pocket part is a big thing to notice, because to the fan, it wasn’t as noticeable.
Please please please keep the rest of interviews like that. It’s nails on a chalkboard every time someone asks those horrible personal questions that he can not answer until everything is settled please keep it football please

Happy to be back to football talk. This man is an elite qb for a reason. You can hear it his understanding of the game. Even when talking through his mechanics/fundamental flaws from last week. We got us one Cleveland. Just be patient with him.

Say what you want about deshaun. He loves the game of football and will do anything to be better than he was the last week. His career was only getting started when he was the passing leader in 2020.
