Akshath that’s one of the main things he needs to work on. Coming out of college, he was always that run stuffing guy who would eat up blocks and push the pile. That was the concern draft analysis had with him, was his pass rushing ability. Hopefully he’ll develop, but you can’t expect it to happen right away

@cjl the one and only You draft guys in the top 7 who are Impact players day one, and who can take on the other impact players. Brown is doing more harm than good right now. He is living up to every damn thing I thought hed be! And thats not good! I threw my beer at my tv when we picked him.
Derrick is gonna be just fine… He needs KK out there to help him along the way but he has the necessary skillset to be a GREAT player in this league…just keep doing you and keep the attitude you have now and he’ll thrive in the coming weeks… #KeepPounding
@Chuck Lee KK is not trash, now maybe his best years are behind him but he was a pro bowler and a very good player for us but father time is UNDEFEATED and maybe his time has come… But to say KK is trash 🗑️ is wrong and very disrespectful, he can definitely give derrick knowledge about the game, film study among other things to assist him along the way… Same thing Charles Johnson did before he left…

@James Petersen I dont care who you are or where you are drafted, play the better player, it builds competition. Roy is outplaying Brown by a mile right now, you cant keep this charade going on for long, before Rhule is asked if he would ever consider benching Derrick Brown.

What we need is those guys in the back stopping plays. It was so embarrassing at that raiders game to see that dude like 3 yards away from the guy that caught it and then try catching up like oh yeah that guy is who I’m supposed to cover.
Defensive Tackle is now the least important position in football. If you are a warm body and can plug a gap you get hired. The most important positions are safety, corner and backer, the rest can be addressed later and are addressed later. There is a reason Brown was the only defensive tackle taken in the first round, there is a reason six backers and six corners went in the first round. You cant stop the curl to flats, you wont stop the run. Its that simple. throwing dline at this isnt the issue!

You were blown off the damn ball every damn snap, are the last dude out of his three point stance at the line of scrimmage, and are the one defensive tackle who is allowing the big gainers, all of the big runs are coming up your gap. You provide no pass rush, and cant stop the run, which is the only reason we drafted You! If this is playing hard to you, then you need to be benched for Brayvion Roy, our 7th round pick who has as many tackles as you do! At least he will play hard! Anyone else think this sounds like a player trying to justify why he shouldnt be benched?
