The good news is this young guy will be part of this organization for a long time. This is a speedbump but not the end – be glad he’s part of this team and the culture they’re building!

He plays like Favre out there. It’s nice to see that kind of passion back in Oakland.

@Damn Son he’s more motivated than i ever saw

    Brandon Taylor Reply

He’s growing up and being a real leader, no ego!

    Dystopia Gear Reply

He’s having fun because he knows he can trust the men around him. The men around him trust him because he always gives everything he has. DC never brags on himself, he only builds up his teammates and coaches. It’s so cool to watch when an entire team truly works together.

    Chubzdoomer Reply

The way he’s playing, he oughta have some.

Confident performance. Not arrogant or cocky just confident. That is good coaching and preparation after seeing Carr struggling the last 2 years tremendous improvement. Said and did all the right things Monday night. Chiefs will not recognize this Raiders team.

Chiefs wrecking this weak team by double digits lol wont even be competitive. Raiders are destined for 5-11

    Siegfried von Vegesack Reply

@Dashoost I know DC’s been through a lot with this team. But our SB quarterbacks and most of our star players have usually acted like they don’t give a flying f#$& and they have better things to be doing than playing football. There’s a reason for that. It does not mean they didn’t have a “Commitment to Excellence” That’s just generally been the Raiders way – the Raiders philosophy as I understand it. Carr has his own way, that’s OK by me. I’m just telling you how its been. I’m a little concerned about the emotional roller coaster ride – the peaks and valleys. The idea is not to be on that roller coaster in the first place.

Man ya gotta love this enthusiasm from a veteran quarterback! Raiders 4 life!!

โ€œYou feel me!โ€ Carr is out Quarterback for the future ๐Ÿ’ฏ

    Dystopia Gear Reply

Yeah, he seems to take a step forward every year. If he plays like he did Monday consistently, and the o-line stays half as good as it looked Monday, DC will have a huge year and help get a bunch of wins. #4 going to be remembered with Plunkett and Stabler etc if he leads them to a Super Bowl, and he’s earning respect the hard way. Pride and poise!

    Dystopia Gear Reply

I think Carr is a genuine person and people respect that. You never see him say anything negative about his coaches or teammates, he’s always trying to build more trust with them and get better himself. You’re right, that’s leadership.

dang…the girl from espn lookn like she wants to eat carr up like a sandwich

    760 Rydah Reply

She kinda looks like Ava Addams

    PoloRalphLaurenBear Reply

She was lost for oxygen, all her mind was doing was creating images of her being smashed… then he stops talking and her brain clicks back into reporter mode for that half second then as soon as he talks again she’s back to the romance fairy tale in her brain.. I bet she hasn’t been delt a strong hand in over a year.. god damn…god damn.

    P Pumpkin Reply

Yeah, she did look like she wanted to Eat Carr up. But women can do that when they want something, like a good interview, a good source for sports news, a job, a promotion (a good grade – I used to be a prof). She could look like that and change in a heartbeat if Carr tried to hit her up. Then she’d sue for workplace harrassment. Look at this woman who’s suing AB, she probably used her sex appeal to get hired, stick around, why else would she stick around if she claims he was harassing her?

    Jared Giff Reply

she looks like she has a really pungent taco and stinky coffee breath. definitely has been spitroasted and thinks its empowering.

    Dystopia Gear Reply

They play very different but DC does remind me of another #4 I grew up watching, Favre. And what they have in common more than anything else is that pure love and excitement for the game.

Joseph Wright Reply

Carr: I told you, I got you.
Gruden: You really saw things good today
Carr: It will be every day.

Carr and Gruden have a closer relationship than I originally thought they had with one another. Canโ€™t wait to see how this unfolds when theyโ€™re neighbors next season in LV lol

0:13…Louis Riddick embodies that “once a Raider, always a Raider” mentality. We might make him look real good this year.

He said the same thing back in 2016 season

@RAIDERTONY 323 He seems like the only one on ESPN that knows anything. The rest are just loud mouths that think their opinion is right if they yell it loud enough.

@MotoZ33 Bakersfield is essentially a bunch of Okies, so yes he’s from the South.

    TazeMeBro McCleskey Reply

Dude that’s how we talk in the Bay. No race has a major majority in any of the areas, maybe segments, but it’s a giant melting pot.

    MrMuttly55 Reply

The southern accent that many people have in the central valley can be directly attributed to people from southern states coming to California in the late 1920’s and early 1930’s after the depression and the “dust bowl” farm famines destroyed the farmers and farm hands ability to make a living where they were from. They used to teach that kind of stuff to kids when I was in school. Not sure what they taught you.

@TazeMeBro McCleskey Whites and mexicans have a major majority in the majority of areas but yea, it is a melting pot.

Born and raised in Texas. Southern draw has nothing to do with the “brotha’s”

gil Reply

Keep in mind they did this without both of their starting guards playing.

    Bryan Montes Reply

gil canโ€™t wait for Gabe Jackson and Rich to come back and start. Imagine then?

    Dystopia Gear Reply

Really looking forward to Gabe Jackson coming back, he will be a big bonus to squad that’s already very, very good. I can do without Incognito, though… I don’t trust that lunatic has-been one bit. Cut him loose before he does some insane bullshit again, we don’t need him. Send RI to New England ๐Ÿ˜‰

    Top1c _ Reply

Dystopia Gear Richies talent was never questioned on the field only off the field. Dude was a pro bowl every year he played. Damn straight he plays when he gets back that dude will make Kolton Miller so much better and give him attitude at left tackle. Stupid to let talent walk especially when they wanna be here smh ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Leonard Ramirez Jr. Reply

I don’t like the Raidas, BUT Derek Carr is having FUN. And I love the way he told Gruden, “I got you man. I told you. Not just today. Always man!” I love it when players love the sport. I’m so sick of the money aspect of it.

Im not a player I just smash alot Reply

He signed a big contract fool, he should love his job for 100 mil dollars, lol
