With everything going on with that Raiders team Derek Carr kept them in it. Fantastic Leadership, and most of his highlights were off the Field. Raiders will be back next year.

Never been a big Derek Carr fan until this year. What he had to deal with this season and still being able to make the playoffs is a great feat.
As a Raider fan I had my doubts about him but after this season I no longer doubt him.
He literally carried a broken team with Game winning drive after game winning drive. Carr deserves to be respected as a great franchise QB.

If Ruggs didn’t make that decision I feel the Raiders would’ve went deeper in the playoffs. Watching these clips I noticed they couldn’t throw the deep ball. Ruggs was a difference maker.

I hope more people appreciate what Derek Carr has been doing as a QB for a team that has never provided good defense for him. It’s amazing that they even made the playoffs this year.
@Patrick Harding LMAO what a 🤡…. The man just threw for damn near 5,000 yards lol. And did it without his #1 for the last 10 games and without Waller for 5. He also led the team to the playoffs through more adversity in a season than most qb’s face in a career. With all due respect, you sir are the “foo”
@Patrick Harding 1) why does he need to run? He’s a pocket QB not a scrambling QB and he does run when he needs to. 2) 9:10 literally shows how great his vision is. It sucks when ur WR can’t create space for themselves and can’t hold onto the ball most of the time

@Donavon Howard This. All of this. I’ve said this same stuff so many times I just don’t have the energy to argue with the Carr haters anymore. I’ve just come to the conclusion they have no idea what they are talking about especially when a large number actually call for Mariota to start over him. It’s funny at this point. I believe in Carr, I have since 2015. I’m stoked and relieved to hear the new staff wants to keep him and work on an extension. Hopefully that also means they will try to bring in a true #1 for him as well.

I watch almost every Raiders interview and what other guys around the league say about Carr. He is respected by those on the field and in the office. He gets disrespected only by his own fan base and the talking heads on ESPN

Look how good we were before Gruden emails, and Ruggs accident 🤧 The downfall of this team was just barely getting started and no one knew this team was going to fall apart throughout the season 😭
Damn. Seeing the early clips of Ruggs really makes you think about what they lost. Derek really put the team on his back without a number #1 receiver, bad o line and waller being gone a number of games. 2-3 pieces away from being extremely dangerous.

Every year Derek Carr continues to make plays and win games for us and every year everyone talks about trading him. Carr deserves more respect than he gets
Came back to rewatch his season and you can tell how much the offense changed after Ruggs was arrested, it wasn’t the same after he left and you can tell Carr got more conservative with the ball after that incident. But today we just got the best WR in the NFL who played with Carr in college, now we can see this explosive Carr again hopefully for a full season again like in 2016. By picking up devonte Adams we are now super bowl contenders.
200 yards away from 5000 yards with no waller most of season just hunter and a bust first round pick in Zay Jones’s. Really think about that fact. He literally carried us all season by himself.
