@Hemanth Swarna well to play devils advocate, Wilson has had injuries lately too…broken thumb, throwing shoulder ect..so its not as if he has been fully healthy ..and at 33, I wouldnt consider him to be “in his prime”…usually at mid 30s most QBs begin to diminish…
@Mark Adler and I get that..but that Broncos team won that SB DESPITE Manning, not because of him..Manning had like 6 TDs and 17 INTS in 10 games….I can only imagine how worse his #s would have been had be played he full season…Wilson doesnt have the rune game, OL and defense Manning had

@Gordon Taylor I’m happy for Steve Wilks. He has as many wins w/ the Panthers as he did w/ the Cards. Mgmt in Glendale never game him a chance to prove himself beyond his 1st year, but he’s got a talented team in his hands & they have the potential to still win the division..
I’d love to keep Wilks around but I don’t think he’s HC material. He’s too conservative and especially with us likely drafting a QB, I want an offensive guy.

The funny thing about that play was that it was called by the most overrated coach in NFL history (Pete Carroll) and it was executed by the most overrated qb in NFL history (let’s ride Denver).

Yep back when the Panthers threw the Super Bowl for the “Golden Soi’s” retirement. Can’t convince me any different. I saw that offensive line look at Vonne coming around and look the other way. I saw Cam see the open man and not throw and not dive on a fumble!! I saw Cam hang his head in shame after it was over like, “Why did we agree to this??”.
I saw it happen in NASCAR with the first Chase for the Cup in 2004 season and never watched nor went to another race ever again. Same goes for the NFL with the kneelers lookin’ like they were waiting on the G-Hole truck to stop by. I only clicked on this cause Google news said something about Broncos D was furious at Wilson.

@Max Ax Yeah, but the defense has been pretty good all year. The dreadful offense has put a lot of pressure on the defense all year. Averaging about 14 ppg is absolutely ridiculous for a pro team. When you can’t score, that means the defense is on the field for a huge amount of time. At some point that’ll start to wear those guys down, no matter how good they are. 🤷🏿♂️

There were SEVERAL plays that Russ should have extended if he was 50% the player he was just a few years ago. That was his whole shtick in Seattle – can’t see over the line, so let’s pop out and get a clear view.
Denver should take the monster cap hit and cut Russ loose, IMHO. This isn’t going to get better with Hackett at the helm.

It’s no understatement to say, the broncos went “all in” on Russell Wilson and loss everything in one hand. They thought they had pocket aces but ended up with 2/7 off suited and got all their dreams crushed.

Right? And I think it needs to be said: Sam Darnold came into this game, shook off the rust of a major injury and not playing a single snap for 11 games, and led the team to 23 points with a QBR of 103.8 — all against one of the top 3 Ds in the NFL.
It really makes me wonder how his story here might have been different if Wilks had been his coach and he’d had an o-line worth a damn right from the getgo.
As a panthers fan we genuinely feel for you broncos and your struggles, especially Mr Russel who went to Nc state
