My thought on this is why( as I just watched a pass to a open Steelers receiver and we’re playing zone) if your in a zone and no one is there, go after the receiver and play the ball and gamble a bit and maybe get a pick or pbu. So many times there the defense in zone and nobody is in your zone and you just stand there. I don’t get it. Gamble a bit and see receiver alone and go get the ball. I understand the integrity of your assignment. Tell me this how did Charles Woodson have so many picks? How about ED Reed have so many INT’s. Challenge the receivers.

Woodson use to look for the ball, watch the QB – Raiders Safety’s and Corners aren’t watching any of that. We have the lowest interception percentages in the NFL. If they watched for the ball or turned around to watch the QB we would have many more interceptions. Signing Hobbs back was a terrible mistake – think he has no talent on coverage, always getting beat or jumped over if you watch that one play – no one knows how to tackle!!
Look up when the best duo ever was going through the new stadium. Hayes Hanes and they were talking smack about bend don’t break and soft coverage.
Derek carr just hasn’t been it.. he hit it on the nose. His decision makin hasn’t been there with all these weapons… he turns into a dear in the headlights.. its like he panics having too many good recievers .. looks like he’s under pressure even though he’s not he has a good pocket and just throws it away 🤦🤦 I know people want to blame it all on McDaniels but I promise you! McDaniels ain’t designing a play where carr is supposed to throw it away.
Carr is always under pressure. O line is trash.
Middle of field always a problem because we have neglected the linebacker position for the last 20 years

@jocool562 He is against the run, but he can’t play east-to-west by himself. When was the last time this team drafted quality backers?
@’OLE55 he plays good coverage and he Flys to the ball/pile. Deablo ia also good but yes, need to draft quality LBs but also find a way to keep Perryman
How many times has the offense scored NO POINTS in the second half this year?
Lincoln was spot on. All season long Josh McD and staff has failed to make adjustments on both sides especially offense 2nd half. Also when JJ gets 20+ touches we usually win. O Line is so bad that it’s the law of large numbers and JJ needs to get the rock many times so he can find a way to make plays bc the staff can’t scheme well for JJ. Do you see the Ekelers, Mc Caffreys, Sanders of the world getting -20 touches? O Line is also so bad that Carr gets put into bad situations very often. Our defense just isn’t that good. With DP out now we don’t have that dawg that can control the middle field. And def coach isn’t making any adjustments at all. Also, Carr has been a baller in the league long enough to will the team to wins but he just hasn’t done it. Not sure why but it’s probably o line play and coaching more often than not. And Carr hasn’t been the same Carr in this system. It’s been a very disappointing season. And at some point, Josh McD has to hold himself accountable.

This team makes way too many mistakes to win games consistently. It’s not just Carr or McDaniels. Every week it’s a handful of players making mistakes. But I will say that Carr’s inaccuracy and McDaniels 2nd half play calling were the biggest problems. See ya’ll next year. I’m out.
I wish Rich Gannon was Carr’s QB coach. Maybe he’d light a fire under Carr and get him to understand how and when to break script and extend the play with his legs. Gannon was exceptional at running for first downs. Lincoln Kennedy is right about a lot of what he said.
He would do what these coaches won’t:
Allow him to sink or swim by letting him make the calls. DC spoke many times about how he is throwing the ball where coach said to.

Everyone wants to blame Carr, I get it, but I look a little deeper at this situation and can’t help but think that Josh McDaniels is clearly the problem. Derek said time and time that he’s doing exactly what Josh McDaniels wants done in this offense. It’s also clear that not only Josh McDaniels offense is not working but the defense is not working as well.
Carr saying that is bs…that should tell you that you can’t trust him with your team.

On to next season fellas. Such a disappointing performance week to week. Too many self inflicted wounds. This team beat themselves in every loss except the Saints game. Very undisciplined team which equates to bad coaching.

Bottomline, we need to lock in JJ and we haven’t done it. I feel bad for him. He’s the man but Josh McD doesn’t see it. If he walks, we r going to regret it bigtime.
A lot of it has to do with the offensive line and the coaching ..we’ve seen DC be a god before and run this Raiders offense like a well-oiled machine 5,000 passing yards every year playing out of his mind…. now all of a sudden he’s running for his life every snap and he’s playing in a different kind of offense scheme and half the time has receivers that can’t catch the ball.. I would say I went over most of the interceptions this year and at least half of them were on the money strikes right off the receiver’s hands…. so I don’t blame #4.. I think everyone needs to get it together around #4.. that’s when we’ll see it go back to normal!!
I hope Carr leaves and wins a Super Bowl. Boy deserves it. I’ll always follow the raiders. But I’ll be a fan of whatever team Carr is on next.
Hell ya, Lincoln Kennedy throwing Carr and the coaches under the bus. He ain’t lying. I’ve said it all season, we don’t make adjustments to give us the best chance to win.
i never felt so worried about having 2+ score leads in my life, this coaching staff is awful at adjustments. awful.
How I see it is that JMD gotta keep Carr for now or either use him as a scapegoat but whoever comes in for Carr has to work if not he’ll be out there is no 3rd or 4th time for McDaniels. He has to know that, yes, Carr had a bad season, but we have been just inches away from winning and I think if we fine-tune things, we will be okay. Pay Josh Jacobs and use him more coaching has to change plans to free Adams. He is taken out every game and needs to be fit in somehow and I’m sorry but Foster needs to go. Graham has kind of figured things out but needs to figure out how to close out. McDaniels is not creative enough in his play calls I want to see why he is an offensive genius.
I love how the guys are asking WHY we’re so obsessed with the low percentage sideline throw! That shouldn’t be the only way we’re trynna get DA the ball. Green Bay gave us a blueprint on how to use DA and we’re not using it!
Losing JJ and Derek in the off season is going to deflate this team altogether. We are the modern day Browns now.
Raiders need to let go of car . He isnt the answer
