The fact that coach Pees has our pass defense at 14th without a consistent pass rush is crazy to think about. We will be a top 10 defense come next year.

    @Jarvase dundy I think it’s a collective effort. Don’t get me wrong, AJ is a top 5 DB, but if he was the only one doing his job we’d still be a bottom tier passing team.

    Yeah I respect your opinion, and it’s a team effort and sport. But AJ is top 5 for a reason this season. Fabian Mearu has been up and down all season as a DB. , Erik Harris has been very averaged at FS, Duron Harmon same as Harris at SS, has been very averaged this season. Jaylin Hawkins at FS and sometimes in the slot too have been a stud before he got hurt. And Isiah Oliver was balling in the slot before he got hurt as well earlier during the season. I believe him and AJ could have done some great things this season had he never got hurt. If we didn’t have AJ this season, our defense would be pretty bad bro lol.

    @JD Neither. I know he would be gone after 5. Knowing Atlanta, they will probably win two or three more games and finish 7-10 or 8-9. So we probably be picking in the 13th- 19th range.

The Falcons need to draft Huchinson from Michigan to take Folwers place and play the OLB/ Rush End position in the starting role…then Draft Big Davis from UGA to play Nose/ D Tackle in the 2nd round to move Davison over to left D tackle this would allow Grady to play that right D-Tackle/D-end position. then they need to trade back up and draft UGA’sTravon Walker to play back-up DE/D-tackle to back-up Grady ..

This will solve a lot of the issue the Falcons have on Defense all in one draft.

Anyone who watches this team knows that they are just way to small of a front 7…cant get pressure organicly, cant keep containment, cant stop 3rd and shorts..or 4th and shorts.
If they draft these players, which they should be in position to draft….it would solve all those issues…with .Big Davis and Davison you would now have the size up the middle that is missing. They would command double and sometimes tripples…this would free up Grady to have more one on one match-ups …this would also allow Hutchinson to have 1on 1 match-ups…but most of all this is going to keep OL..off your LBs allowing them to just run and hit like they are more suited to do as smaller LBs.
This will also create more organic pressure because of the one on ones from your pass rushers. This helping out the Secondary.

Its not like the Falcons dont have pieces on Defense…they are just missing the pieces that would allow what they have to shine.

You cant have a small D Line and Small LBs….its just not going to work……Ask Kirby….First thing he said when he got to UGA was we have to get bigger up front….”Bigger and Faster!”

The take away i get from this video is the team is performing to the best of their abilities which means the team needs an injection of better talent in 2022 if you want a winning team. Two or three players will not be enough.

Draft better DBs and teach them to turn around and defend passes when a receiver makes catch attempt movements😒
