@Blame  former 2013 first-round pick’s ability to haul in 105 catchable passes without a drop… 2018 the only wide 3to ever do this with over a 100 targets…

T&S Ludwig He couldnt get open at all vs Tredavious White or Stephon Gilmore. He would get thrown to and the pass would get broken up every time. He is no longer elite vs the top level corners in the nfl hes just average. In the playoffs he didnt get double teamed and still was hardly productive

He’s my top wideout based on a combination of things: A) His catch radius is out of this world; B) he high-points the ball to win contested catches; and C) Deshaun Watson is nearly two years removed from his ACL injury, so the quarterback’s renewed mobility will allow him to extend plays and make life quite difficult for defensive backs attempting to plaster receivers. And that’s just the beginning. The 6-foot-1 wideout isn’t the fastest player on the field, but he’s mastered the art of body positioning and knows how and when to attack the ball. Not to mention, Hopkins just had the most receptions without a drop in a season (115) since Pro Football Focus started charting drops in 2007. With a freakish skill set and a talented, young QB, it feels like Hopkins is just getting started heading into Year 7…

T&S Ludwig See i would have said that after 2018 season but if you actually watch the film its blatantly obvious that in 2019 he was drastically worse than he was in 2018. He isnt awful or anything but i dont think id even still consider him top 5. The only reason he even broke 1k yards this season is cause he had 150 targets. If stills or fuller had than many targets they would have broke wayy past 1100. I would put money on stills or fuller or cobb having a better year than hopkins this upcoming season

T&S Ludwig If stills had 150 receptions at the rate he was playing he would have been around 1500 receiving yards. If will fuller had that many targets he would have been at around 1300-1400 yards. Keep in mind im going off of literal stats here. If cobb had that many targets he would be around 1400-1500 yards. For the amount of targets and receptions he had its clear that he under preformed not to mention basically going dormant in big games

H Town BOP The man averaged over 100 YPG through the first 6 games and 5 total touchdowns. He’s flat out impressive. It’s not his fault he didn’t get much playing time later in the season. Go check out PlayActionProduction’s video on him.

Totally agree, i think it was a bad trade as far as value but i think johnson is a great back and none of this is his fault and he should still feel the love of the texans fanbase instead everyone calling washed up and trash and all that

I personally feel like hes a great guy and great player and im excited to watch him play 🤷🏻‍♂️

People just find anything to hate on in houston, even if we did get a first people would be rioting. We could have gotten 2 firsts and people would still complain, its unfortunate but thats how pathetic this fanbase is. I personally love every houston team no matter the players, coaches, or record cause for me its about supporting the players who represent my home you feel?

@Blame Same! I still lobe the Texans and every other Houston team but I can’t stand what O’brien did by letting Hopkins go. The fanbase is filled with band wagon losers but I see their points about O’brien better.
