Agree w all but the part about 6. He is paid for why not carry all 4 QBs and get a comp pick? Baker can win games in Cleveland. Not many have done that since the 90s. He can and has overcame refs. That says it all…and explains why the media shills are pushing to get him off the team. Step one alienate Baker and remove him from the team. Step two repeat with Watson. But the Browns are beating them at their own game and doing it by the League’s rules. They cracked the code and Vegas is furious about it…and being vengeful early.
@Captain Orange Baker will not take another snap in Cleveland. Getting a draft pick out of him for almost 19 mill isn’t worth it unless it’s a 1st or 2nd,that won’t happen. If any of that 19 mill can be recouped now, for a player who can help fill a void of need. I wouldn’t cut Baker no matter what and if he’s not traded somewhere but you couldn’t go thinking Baker would play for Cleveland again.
You either trade him for a pick and pay some of his money or trade him for a player to even out the money or you let him sit and eat 19 mill and get a 3rd or 4th out of him in a comp pick next yr. Baker will not ever take a snap for Cleveland again.Bakers shipped has sailed in Cleveland. I wish him luck as long as he isn’t playing against Cleveland.
@Stoolerhater Smith 20 years ago the players would be expected to get over their feelings and fulfill their contract and obligations to the team. To put it into context Baker will make more in any month this year than most in the world will ever earn in their entire lives. For that kind of money you would think it wouldn’t even be a question of him not playing for the Browns.
I also feel like the roster is so stacked there isn’t a need to fortify the team any more than it already is. Undeniably best QB room with 3 NFL starters and an astrophysicist developing behind them, best RB group, best CB group, best Guards, best Edge Rushers and talent and depth everywhere else!
