Most teams are given sets of clothing and it’s policy to wear it while training at the facility, almost like a uniform. You don’t want a player wearing fancy pants with beading and it suddenly spilling everywhere for example. You can get away with buying and wearing black shorts from Walmart for example, but when you’re given the choice to wear what you want for travel, why wear the free stuff from the organisation? It’s almost like wearing your school uniform and getting on a plane outside of school activities.
@tricklingblue I just didn’t know if maybe there was a rule where they didn’t want players wearing team logos and stuff in public.. and their organizations being associated with their behavior.. which probably wouldn’t be an issue in Gunner’s case but you can see the potential for others
@A Oh yeah definitely. I don’t think any team cares tho. Any advertising is good advertising in the nfl lol. I think becoz the players get so much free stuff anyways and given their salaries, it’s kinda like why you wearing your basic work clothes.

Fun fact – the patriots used to make all their players wear suits or official patriots gear while travelling years ago. They must have relaxed that rule now.
