Unless this kid is playing defense, it won’t really matter who is playing QB. Defense can’t stop anyone

    Mike Perez Reply

@Elijah Mitchell so i rather be 12 then a secret gay man lol

    23srod Reply

or maybe the giants know the season is over and they want to see what the kid can do. in any event we have put up 17 and 14 our first 2 games which ain’t going to cut it. eli won’t win many games this year, why subject him to it.

I like the idea of Jones starting but I think we should of waited until we got our wideouts back

Can’t any worse we got right now ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿฟโ€โ™‚๏ธ so not only nothing to lose, but everything to gain โ˜๐Ÿฟ

I’ve heard Sterling and Slayton are on the mend and might make it to the next game. So that’s two weapons. Plus he also has Engram and Barkley. So I don’t think he’s really that short on weapons. I agree it’s a little sooner then I would have personally liked, but it’s clear that the team isn’t going anywhere and starting DJ likely won’t change the defense all that much. So they might as well get him reps early to prepare him as much a possible for next season when the Giants will hopefully be stronger contenders.

    Rick Nash Reply

Yea if we went 0-4 or 5 I would have pulled the plug, but now Jones gets a full season can’t wait till next year

    Jhensy2012 Reply

It’s still a huge upgrade from the sh*tbirds he played with at Duke. He’ll have Saquon and Engram — he’s never anything like had that in his arsenal — and by Week 5 he’ll be full strength with Tate and Sterling Shepard. The kid’s gonna do fine.

Thank you Eli for everything you have done for our team. You are a true icon. Time to pass the torch. I know Daniel Jones will create a new legacy. LETS GO GIANTS!

    Jouc12 _ Reply

Yes, thank you for all those bad decisions, loses and years of frustration.

    Jason Reply

@Jouc12 _ Those two Super Bowl wins against the Patriots were disappointments? Sure he has been off his game the last few years but that is only because the team couldn’t protect him. This is the problem with sports these days. People are so ungrateful. A few bad years and you are garbage to your fans.

    Jouc12 _ Reply

@Jason “A few bad years” More like two good years and the rest were either average or disasters. It was selfish of him to hang around for so long playing poorly just because he didn’t felt like retiring. This clip is a very accurate analysis of his career. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4bH0tattDgA

    Lucas Martinez Reply

He still gave us 16 years of his life. Regardless of your opinion on Eli, please remember to show some respect.

bilboman1 Reply

If Jones can extend drives it’ll keep the defense off the field more…..that’s a good thing!

Rell Reply

You were my quarterback for more than half of my life thanks for the memories Eli I will never forget those 2 chips happiest sports days of my life โœŠ๐Ÿพ

B. Roemer Reply

Or better yet, who the hell is he throwing the ball to?

No one that’s right

    Lucas Martinez Reply

Engram and Barkley. Sterling and Darius when they get back (and from what I hear they may be ready for Tampa). Tate in two games.

Jake Sanservino Reply

Iโ€™m sorry but it is too early in the season to put him in. Wait till game five or six.

    Jake Sanservino Reply

I meant to start him. Eli should start but he comes off the bench for some drives. Itโ€™s a lot of pressure for the young kid.

Jake Sanservino itโ€™s football if he canโ€™t perform under pressure heโ€™s not the guy

Hey nothing WRONG WITH IT LET’S gooo GIANT’S YES LET’S GIVE HIM A SHOT U NEVER KNOW IM TEAM GIANTS ALL DAY LET’S WIN

SamK Reply

I feel like the Giants media team should have come out with an Eli career highlights tape instead of Daniel Jones preseason which they have already posted multiple times this year. Thanks Eli for everything. It’s time for Jones but Eli will be missed.

    ThyHeraclez Reply

Youโ€™re talking as if theyโ€™re getting rid of Eli. This could be the start of Jones time to shine though

Ok, Finally they believe on jones weโ€™ll see how he plays at Tampa Bay

Lifelong Giants fans here, and I want to be careful with how I say this.
Daniel Jones throws a Joe-Montana-esque type of ball. It not a laser, but it has very good velocity, and it’s very accurate and catchable. That type of ball, is very difficult to defend against. He may surprise a lot of people very shortly.

Young Entrepreneurs Enterprise Reply

I knew this would happen. Should have started him from game 1.

Rome Holmes Reply

Eli is still an MVP to me

Jhensy2012 Reply

Giants fans will see a QB run for a first down for the first time since Jeff Hostetler. THAT ALONE is worth it.

Cliff Welfare Reply

I hope management keeps play makers around him through out his career…unlike Elis
