We have about 6 solid starters on Defense . We have 10 drafts wit a top ten pick . If we can score on defense on draft night . ITS UP THERE WIT OTHER TEAMS & ITS STUCK ‼️

The Cowboys need at least 2 players in every defensive sector that can play at NFL standard. They were beaten by half time so often in 2020 that 28th ranked defence is simply because opposing teams took the foot off the gas. They are already historically bad defensively and without money to keep a defence, anyone good is leaving to get paid somewhere else. The O-line has likely had its best years and Dak has to still be Dak after an injury that can easily be career ending for them to have a chance to go better than 8-8.
Will be fun to watch them this year, but i suspect a train wreck is far more likely than a ticker tape parade.
@Dyrty Barstud ehh I feel like our OLine has about two more years left at max health if they can manage to stay healthy… then after that, I see them declining. As for defense, I will blame it on the Defensive System & Mike Nolan… Maybe Quinn can fix that but as far as right now … I see more positivities than negatives 💪🤞✊

I know this seems like Hindsight bias but I really couldn’t imagine Dak leaving the Cowboys. The media making a big deal about the possibility of Dak leaving always seemed a bit silly to me.

nope he wanted 44 million per year. So they saved 16 million. Not to mention they can cut him and save even more as he is only guaranteed 126 million. If they do that it comes out to 31.6 million per year.

what exactly is 40 mil good? Last I checked TB12 nvr even made over 30mil and most NFL players making 30mil+ don’t have a SB ring either. You pay for the man on the field and off the field and he’s been worth that.
Watch the media turn the narrative from “pay dak” to “they overpaid”. Jerry has shown that he loves dak and I don’t think anyone can argue after seeing how this deal is structured.
Jerry may be a genius as a business man but the guy is an idiot as a football general manager. That quarterback has proven time and time again that he is not elite. All Jerry got was a great garbage time quarterback who is average at best when the game is still on the line.
Might be a LITTLE biased, but I’ve always thought that Dak was a tad bit overrated. I mean, yeah, he was always decent, but never superstar level like a lot of people make him up to be.
Coming off that serious ankle injury and paying him $164 million isn’t worth the risk.
