Go Cowboys!

Ashlynne Shain

Sounds from the sidelines please!!!!

#83 Golden Richards

Dee Jay

Seriously, Nick? How do you not remember #83 Golden Richards? That dude was cool.

    zzz ///

he was not known for being very tough…

    Dee Jay

    @Ghana Serapis
That about sums him up. Nice job. Great description.

    Dee Jay

    @zzz ///
Wasn’t he kind of skinny though? It’s difficult being tough when you’re that skinny , I would imagine.

    Ghana Serapis

@Dee Jay He played when things were much more dangerous for all players, especially receivers and QBs. There were no primadonnas when he played and no “player safety” rules.

    Dee Jay

    @Ghana Serapis
Yep. That’s for sure. Thanks for replying and for that great insight. I’m going to Google him and see if I can find some videos of him playing in games. I think that’ll be fun.

Austin P

I also think Dalton Schultz has exceeded expectations. His YAC ability has been surprising.

Broderick Johnson

Whn your QB is lacking arm talent it hampers wrs production.

Tom

Pollard currently #3 in NFL in All-Purpose yds

Phillip Clark

Ok I’ve been listening to The Break and Talking Cowboys for years. But today, with Derrick not being there, I have to ask…

Why does Amber have a job?? 🤔 She either doesn’t have any real insight or doesn’t have an original thought. If she does give an “opinion”, it’s very similar to something that’s already been said, or is so mind numbingly obvious, anyone could have that opinion.

Not only is she not knowledgeable about the history of the team she reports on, it seems she doesn’t truly understand the game of football either.

Give her some time to gain that knowledge and experience. Until then, I’m good with Derrick, Nick and Dave.

    Andy McDonnell

That’s just it. How many years is it going to take though? She’s been on the air since 2017 that I can think of so one would think there would have at least been incremental improvement by now. I’m really pulling for Ambar to succeed but at some point, either cut the cord or provide better insight or training. Truly bizarre.

    Doug Tyree

Actually Amber knows as much or more about Football then derek, who just has a degree and nothing else to offer.

    DM

Maybe, just maybe she is knowledgeable of the game, but she has a hard time speaking on it as English is her second language (I assume). I’ve listened to some of the Spanish podcasts, and she’s done well on there. She’s obviously on this show for a reason.
Not trying to be her keyboard defender, but as someone who speaks three languages, it does get difficult sometimes trying to get a point across in another language. Cut her some slack and enjoy the content. Anyways, Merry Christmas friend.

    Andy McDonnell

@DM I happened to watch a Spanish broadcast the other day and she’s much more fluid and involved on that show.

Jerroid Rhone

That is part of why bubble screens don’t work to Amari. CeeDee is a horrible blocker. Get Amari the ball…pick plays, let him go deep. He is the fastest Wideout we have. Put him the slot…do something. When he goes the receiving core works so much better.

VICTOR LATSON

I think that what we are seeing is complimentary football. I think the offense has throttled back so that the defense gets more rest, in the games that they score a lot of points, they give u a lot of points as well

Freddy McTickles

This is the most talented cowboys team since 07… if you can’t do anything in the playoffs and this offense keeps playing how it is, it will be the biggest waste of talent and opportunity.

    Freddy McTickles

@Sean X debatable? 2007 had an actual defense, 2014 was all offense and the defense under Marinara got run up by 25+ points in the playoffs

James Runge

I know its treating people like objects but…. Never pay a rb. Draft one every other year atleast and just keep letting guys walk in free agency unless they are willing to take less than market value (which they shouldn’t be) its been a long time since a 2nd Contract for a rb worked out.

    Doug Tyree

Never say Never, Emmitt was one, the great ones can last, but zeke as I noted B4 draft, doesdnt make people miss and takes too much punishment to last …long

    James Runge

@Doug Tyree Agree, but Emmitt was hall of fame level and also almost 25yrs ago. Very few hold up to there late 20’s anymore. Average back gets 3.5 years. Franchise backs tend to make it to around 27 before production drops. I think there are just to many good rbs to spend big capital on the position. anymore

    Doug Tyree

@James Runge I agree it wasnt the move I would have made to resign Zeke as my Predraft notes stated: He doesnt make players miss & takes too much punishment to last…long. Of course We Need a New RB with explosive traits!

PETER BLUE

Keep letting Zeke kill 3 to 4 drives a game instead of playing Pollard smh. Goofy team.

    Jerome Golden

Zeke does so much more if u understand the game pollard is the shining star as long as Zeke is there it’s nothing wrong with having 2 good running backs to change the pace of the game but if it’s just pollard u will see its not the same

A D

Talking heads continue their misdirection. Each show is rinsing and repeating the same misdirected assessment of the Cowboys. In a sense the are throwing garbage at us and saying they are not

Adrian Moore

Golden Richards, yessir, but also 81 Percy Howard, 82 Otto Stowe , was Kelvin Martin #83? Most important punt return in cowboys history, “Da tet at the vet”! and the dagger touchdown against the 49ers in the 1992 NFC championship game or 1993.

Adrian Moore

Ambar is absolutely correct, Terrence Steele is great this year. Conor Williams without the penalties has been good. The running game came back when he came in. Dalton schultz I thought, would lose job back to Jarwin, but he has been good.

Adrian Moore

Connor McGovern at fullback has been consistent.

Adrian Moore

I think Golden Richards threw a touchdown pass also, or maybe Newhouse threw it to him.

    Doug Tyree

Yes NewHouse threw it to him in the Super bowl vs the Bronco’s.

Jerome Golden

Mike needs to take over play calling during the playoffs Moore has reached his peak we keep seeing the same plays defense has figure out how to play them Mike been to next level he should be n total control of the offense but Mr I know it all Jerry Jones want allowed him to do it which spells trouble in the playoffs unless the defense is for real and can carry them through

Cire Notsluor

Dave Helman… “Like I said”…. 15 times!
