@Football Philosopher bro are we like brothers and I was never told?? lol holy crap..usually most people think I’m stupid when talking about the draft..I simply want the best player each rd, each yr..I want difference makers at as many picks as I can..obviously u have to balance it and acquire depth but I’m NEVER passing on a clearly better player except in rare circumstances..obviously if the best player available is a QB or LT 4yrs in a row u don’t want 4 1st rd QB’s or LT’s on ur team..other than that give me difference makers in the 1st and trade back up into the end of 1st or early 2nd and grab u a quality starting CB or safety..I’d rather have 2 impactful starters than to have 3 players that were graded a whole rd or more lower than where I took them..just for example let’s say the WR class is deeper than the CB class..still I’m not passing on Lamb who I’ve got graded as top 15 player, instead take a CB like Fulton at #17 who’s graded as a 2nd rd player, just so that the WR I get in the 2nd won’t be as less skilled as the less skilled CB I’ll get in the 2nd!!! lol..so ur purposely taking a less skilled player in the 1st so u don’t get as much of a less skilled player in the 2nd??? wth?? take the damn highest graded player that u know is there when ur picking!! worry about who’s left and what their grades are when u get to the 2nd!! so u try to mitigate taking a less skilled 2nd rd player in the 2nd by purposely taking a less skilled player in the 1st??🤦‍♂️ anyway, I agree with u my guy..and if need be don’t be afraid to trade up and take impactful players..look at our drafts the past couple yrs..we absolutely could’ve done without quite a few of these guys and instead went after a legit playmaker..Taco and Hill are a 1st and 2nd rd pick that were clearly reaches..go get a better player if possible..the idea of the draft is to add the best young talent to ur team u can, not just taking a guy cuz he plays a position that ur scheme says u must fill regardless of who might be on the board..

Rmf 22 Thats what I scream! I would have taken DK metcalf instead of trysten hill last year. Also, what good is drafting players who won’t make the team??? I’d trade up using those picks. I’d almost never draft in the 6th or 7th round unless it’s to get a punter or a flyer on a super talented player. Not drafting camp bodies. I drafted FA can do that.

@Football Philosopher lol I wanted DJ Moore badly when he was there and I also wanted Chubb when he slipped into the 2nd..people said I was an idiot..well if we’re a “running team” what if Zeke goes down? or how long will he last with all thsse carries? well as it turns out had we taken Chubb and Moore it’s likely we arent paying a RB $12mill a yr and paying crazy $ to a WR that we still have a few questions about..just cuz u have talent doesn’t mean u can’t draft talent to replace them..that’s how u avoid these guys having so much leverage that u almost have to pay them stupid $ when maybe it’d be better for ur team to move on but u had no1 to replace them..imagine what we could’ve done with those 2 contracts not on the books? lol just a thought

Rmf 22 I’m with you on that until I use a premium pick on a player who ideally doesn’t play, unless it’s a GUARANTEED replacement. Like someone who will replace Gallup instead of pay him in a year or two. Cooper is a top tier WR all things being equal. Drafting and team building is basically about value, usage and replacement factors. Like I’d draft best available, then round three or four get the best CB left on my board if I didn’t already get a couple. Why? Do I want to overpay Chido or Lewis? Tag them just to keep them for a year? Nah. Same for Gallup.

@Football Philosopher %100..people think when u draft ur only deciding what u do or don’t need that yr..but while adding the best talent ur also trying to consider and project further than just that season..like taking McGovern last yr which was a great talent pick at a position it might not have seemed like we needed at the time

Not really sold on any of the 4 guys you mentioned. Would rather take a chance in the 3rd with Greenard or Taylor as far as EDGE goes. Hoping we get Kinlaw or Jeudy.
