It’s hard due to COVID and getting new coaches I this season was always not going to turn out good. But also they are a couple of players that need to be let go and some starters need to be replaced which I think will see in the off season.

Key games are against your division, we lost to the Seahawks and the Rams, I’m optimistic that we will take out the average teams and by the end of the year ready to take on real competition

to be fair, they could just as easily be 2-1. Falcons was luck, got screwed on that Rams call and Dak handed that game to Russ on a platter. They beat themselves

It’s week 3 without a preseason let’s give the guys a break not to mention the coaching staff we have is legit Jason Garrett would have never moved Zack Martin to right tackle Jason Garrett would have never moved Joe Looney from Center to guard we would have never made the adjustments needed yet Mike Mccarthy did and instead of being blown out we competed and still had a shot to win at the very end of the game we were still in it. We are experiencing multiple fronts 1. No preseason otas or full camp 2. Injuries have plauged us. 3. Even in a normal season it takes about 4 games for the real teams to emerge gain chemistry, timing and muscle memory. There is still alot of football left to be played we will get it together. also like McCarthy inherited Jason Garrett type guys Demarcus Lawrence should have never got a contract we should have sent him away never paid him money he’s a waste of space on this roster. Xavier Woods liability he wouldn’t even start on another team. Amari Cooper was great but is clearly hurt for the 2nd year in a row. you do realize preseason was a time where teams had to judge their talent their new Talent they’re old Talent and was a great tool to have when filling out a roster have you not thought about what the implications of that maybe or how long the side effects of not having a normal offseason may last.

@William H. I agree with everything you said. If we can’t run the ball then we need to “create” ways to get the ball into Zeke’s hands. And not 2 yards behind the LoS. Our Oline isn’t good enough to block out in space. Use crossing patterns, slants, and seam routes. Zeke can go deep, especially if they put a LB on him, but I think that might be too advanced. And without Zeke in the backfield blocking Dak probably won’t have the time in the pocket.

Interesting fact, Dak was pressured 1/2 as much as Russell this week. 15% of his dropbacks vs. 30% for Russell. But that’s why Russell’s worth $30M/yr. Zeke completely stymied the blitz. That was something that we did really well this week.

@Relayer6a Once we get Tyron and LC back im not worried about the offense tbh. We have shown we can score and once this defense comes together we can beat anybody.. hell, we could have and should have won all 3 of our games this year imo. We was in all of them.
Take away the turnovers and those two games we lost are wins..

Once we start playing as a team we can win a lot of games. Oline and secondary is the big problem atm.
But lets face the facts, these guys are young backups mostly on secondary and on the O-line.
We haven’t been that bad for everything being crazy due to no off-season/preseason/OTA’s.

Another great thing is, we play in a crap East division that more than likely won’t get past 8-8. We can hopefully get 10-11 wins and no telling with 16 games under their belt’s how this team will look like in December and January.

@William H. I think we’ll get better. And yes the NFCE is crappie. A 500 team could win it. My concern though is we look a lot like we did last year. We only put up 17 points vs the Rams. They’re a decent team. The Seahawks and the Falcons are 32nd and 31st vs the pass respectively. The 2 worst teams in the league. I hope it’s not deja vu all over again. Last year we feasted on weak defenses but got shut down against decent competition.

The Browns have some good personnel on defense. I hate to say it, but they’ll be a bit of a test. We can’t score against them we’re screwed.

Its odd about this team. When we get team’s that doesn’t score much its like we fall in to a FG or punting match. But if we are behind and need a crap ton of points we can or at least try to score faster. Becoming 90% passing team. I scratch my head on that. If we come out and play fast like we are losing maybe we could actually run the ball again and keep this defense off the field more. I’ve noticed around the nfl most defense’s have started slower than the offense’s. Lots of high scoring going on it seems.
These BS turnovers though gotta stop. D needs to get a few of our own. Its like we play as our opponents play. We play down or up as they do. Last year we was always playing catch-up and passing waaay too much. Dak damn near set the cowboys record. Romo set his record on the same 8-8 season.
But when Murray ran that ball in 2014 we was 12-4. Zeke 2016, 13-3.
We can’t abandon the run, but in the same breath, we can’t give these bastards 20 point head starts with dumb mistakes on offense and defense. Tbh our secondary looked lost out there last week in the first half and right off the bat fumbled the ball in the 2nd half from bad offensive line play from Williams and Looney on the play. Looney/Martin also let that pressure get to Dak on the last play of the game on the INT. A Play here and there is all it took to end games in a loss.
We got crap to clean up and lucky we got time to let people heal and get reps and get better before its do or die.

Jimmy would may have stayed that one year for a three-peat win or lose he would have left after that… he never stayed longer than five years at one place
