Yessir that pocket awareness is all he’s missing. They need to think outside the box and find a way to get Dak a much better feel in the pocket of where pressure is coming from. It’s like you have to work extra hard to get to Russel Wilson, Mahomes and Rodgers. Even Daniel Jones on the Giants moved out of the pocket more efficiently on Sunday. But other than that, Dak is a monster and his passing, footwork and IQ has really jumped. His mental aspect of the game should really take another huge step because of his involvement the course of the remainder of the season being strictly film study

Also dak needs to force the ball on some passes which he doesnt do, and cant beat you on a deep pass, dalton had almost as much yards as dak in way less time and half attempts

@Edward Bickel yeah that’s coaching. They always talked about how his QB coaches helped him focus on his drop backs and tightened up his foot work, kept his back leg from flailing on his deep/bullet passes so his throws would not sail. But it was never clearly documented that they worked on his pocket presence. That’s literally the last piece of they pie that they should be hammering time and again. I feel like some of it is supposed to come naturally but if they coaches don’t see it, it’s there job to get him there in my opinion.

@Luis Villa its both its dak but its also the coachs telling him to stay in the pocket cause they think there o line can block for that long

Yeah those 1690 yards through the first 4 games really attests to his struggle finding open receivers…

@Joseph Carter I would say Andrew whitworth and zeitler are the only notable guys andy has had protecting him. Boiling was the 3rd best as far as consistency, but he was none to get bullied often. So I would say that besides the 2015-2016, this oline is better than all the other years dalton had. I would also say this is the most talented wr room dalton has ever had, even superior to 2015 season, easily. Sanu wasn’t a separator, really only green and Marvin Jones caused consistent separation for dalton
