As illustrated by the deafening crickets, I can’t imagine a more irrelevant matchup in sports, much less football. If both of these teams had quietly decided that they were simply going to stay home and watch the other games, literally no one would have known.

    Calvin Ridley

I mean, not really. The last nfc playoff spot is up for grabs and the competition is getting heated. It’s not a prime time match up but it’s not the jets vs the Texans lol

    W. Hayes Conner

@Calvin Ridley Atlanta will never admit, regardless of record, that they are not headed for the playoffs, but let’s just be realistic.

@W. Hayes Conner The point of supporting a football team is to ride or die whether it’s 0-17 or 17-0. I’m going to continue to support this team through all of it. I know all the players, their stories, and their development paths just like every other fan knows the same about their team. We know our team better than anybody else. I know it’s might be unlikely that we’ll make playoffs this year but I’m happy to see a lot of improvement in the defense and the team is on the right path. There’s growing pains with a rookie head coach. Besides, we got the braves, dawgs, and hawks lol. So my Falcons can have an off year. Atlanta United is also having a helluva season too. Things are looking up for the big ATL

@Calvin Ridley Good Post! The Cowboys were 6-11 last year in their 1st year under McCarthy and the Panthers 5-11 last year in Rhule`s 1st year. Both teams are playing better than last year. You go look at their fan`s comments and sure there are plenty of fairweather fans that want what they want when they want it but the majority are pleased their team`s are playing better this year. Arthur Smith has taken over a team that finished 4-12 last year and short on talent at some spots, not to mention being in a bad salary cap situation. I am pleased with the improvement on this team. Here we are having won more games than last year all together and in the mix for a playoff birth and some of our fans are STILL hating on this team!..smh.. Go Falcons!

    W. Hayes Conner

@Calvin Ridley I get everything that you are saying from a fan perspective. Speaking as a Cardinal fan, however, there is no better example than my team in terms of having to suffer ridicule and contempt from other teams’ fan bases during years that were opposite from the last couple. Atlanta is going to have to take its lumps from the outside, just like the Panthers, Jags, and Lions.

    Samuel Davis

They probably hadn’t got that information yet.

Nick bagnulo

They are putting corners and safety pitts Need to place him in motion and the other receivers need to get some separation.

Nick bagnulo

Patterson 70 percent of our offense

    That’s a damn shame.

Why play two centers start Dalman. Patterson does more with one and a half legs than the whole offense. Fotenot and Authur Smith made a mistake bringing in Mike Davis. Where is Marvin Hall to help take the top off the defense? How come Kyle Pitts struggles to get open. It’s proven that no other team uses Patterson like the Falcons. If he bolts– he might be back to a regulated kickoff returner. Keith Smith needs to be used more especially since they can’t replace Calvin Ridley’s production. I wish the Falcons press would asked tougher questions to Authur Smith.

Nick bagnulo

Hopefully ryan will be better in year 2 of smiths system .
He was in shanhans
Look what happened
MVP
it is the same system
He has,to re learn it
Shake off the rust

Hopefully i can say the same for the defensive scheme
