Patterson caught five passes for 141 yards and a touchdown Sunday at Baltimore. He was targeted seven times, and added a six yard rush.
Patterson also had 111 yards on four kick returns, taking one 42 yards. When he had the ball in his hands on Sunday, he looked like the best player on the field. He had one drop, but made an impressive adjustment to make a difficult catch early, and he took a screen pass 79 yards for what should have been a game winning touchdown, had Minnesota not folded on defense. Because most of Patterson’s yardage came after the catch, there’s still plenty of room for growth in his route running.
