Well none of that is happening now, the browns are out of the race for Watson (thank god) so now we are stuck with a weakened offensive line, one good receiver and a disgruntled QB. Gonna be a great season!

You know I like the show but please explain why the Browns are alienating Mayfield. They have a decent QB and coach finally and they of course flush it. Cleveland isn’t a destination unless the people in charge show some loyalty and common sense. I’ve been a Browns fans since the 60’s and with exception of Sipe and Kosar Cleveland hasn’t had a decent QB. Watson may be a good athlete but his adult actions call his character into question and I won’t back the Browns or spend a penny on them. No one will come to Cleveland to play if the leadership is two faced. Period.

@Seven Stars of the Dipper The “find another team to root for” is the problem for Cleveland right now. A lot of diehard Browns fan do not want this trade. Right now the Browns are messing with there core fans, which is not a good business model. If Haslam isn’t careful, he will be losing a lot of life long fans. Maybe that’s not you, but it is for a lot of other people.

All of you Browns fans upset with the front office about the QB situation, it’s already been reported that it’s Haslam who doesn’t want Baker and is pulling out all the stops to go get Watson. Haslam destroys our QB situation yet again. We need new ownership first and foremost. Let Berry do his job and stay out of the way.

I think Berry could want to upgrade from him too. But it’s the context about how this move would be made. Berry has not proven to be someone who is willing to part with early draft picks, let alone multiple 1st rounders. Dorsey traded a 1st rounder for ODell. Berry traded a 5th rounder for Amari. The analytical approach values draft picks. I think Berry could very well not view Baker as the guy and want to upgrade. I’m saying he wouldn’t go about it like this. The move to get Watson is all Haslam.
@Wong Kar-Chazelle it’s a very difficult decision waking the line with multiple qbs this off-season. I’d rather Haslim wear this decision than Kevin and Barry. Saves their careers if it implodes, meanwhile Haslim is laughing. Maybe not such a bad thing this time…

I am excited about all the players that they grabbed in free agency I like that they kept Walker and Hubbard also in the mix…Big Hub is a good rotation player

Baker deserves CLE this year, and whether all of the reports and slander are true are not is debatable and can be twisted. At the end of the day, we want to see our Browns excel, and have to try and keep emotions out. It is a business. I personally can’t see AB and KS being on board to boot Bake like this and risk the face of the org for Watson, but again, who really knows but them? All signs point to Haslam.

@Andy Gossard Ppl buy tickets to watch their team play, and especially to watch them win. I’m just saying what the FO decides to do is out of my control, so for my own well being, I’m trying to keep emotions out of it. But that’s just what gets me from being upset and taking it personally. I don’t agree with what’s going on though. Keep Bake imo. He’s our guy, and he should have sat when he jacked his shoulder up. To that point in the season he was playing peak Baker level, and had highest acc in the NFL. Give healed Bake a chance.. And now you got me getting emotional about it again haha.
Kev did try to get Baker killed his last game. Seems like Coach can’t take some of the constructive criticism Baker may have said.

I think the Winovich acquisition could be huge…especially considering we gave up basically nothing to get him. He’s never played opposite a pass rusher of Myles’ caliber. Doing so seemed to have a real effect on Clowney’s production last year and it could definitely do the same for Winovich. Seems like Winovich and Mack Wilson both needed a change of scenery so hopefully it works out for everyone. I really hope we manage to keep Clowney around for another year or two even WITH the trade for Winovich.
Boy, really hard to get excited the way they’re handling the QB situation. There’s a right way and a wrong way to do it. Just disappointing.

@Rob Venters if we don’t get Watson who’s available? Carr won’t come, we could end up with Garoppolo, I don’t think any QB’s in the Draft would fit us. I don’t know maybe you’re right and we get Watson just concerned if not what Berry’s plan B is.

My advice is, get a chance to know Deshaun – not just the guy he is accused of being in the media. Discernment is a valuable gift that can be sharpened when practiced. If you are a football fan, you can’t help but love him on the field. He is not just another good athlete or QB, he is a generational talent. Prepare to be wowed.
@BJ Martin I don’t know Deshaun personally, I don’t even know anyone that does know him personally. But I have been following his career since high school, and I can tell you, up until this incident, his character and reputation was not just good, it was impeccable. His first game day paycheck – all of it – he gave to the cafeteria ladies that worked somewhere at the Houston complex. Habitat for Humanity built Deshaun and his mother a house when Deshaun was young. His mother is a cancer survivor and Deshaun and her are very close. Since becoming an NFL player, Deshaun has helped to build several Habitat houses for others, in a pay-it forward effort for the help he and his mother received. He is a soft spoken and very polite young man. I saw him get approached by several young girls at a Chinese restaurant in Clemson once , college fans that wanted a picture with him. He was picking up take-out food and I could tell he was in a hurry and very likely preferred to be left alone. But he was very polite, allowed the pictures, and then went on his way.
The Atlanta “ball-boy” story was grossly understated during the trade rumors with Atlanta. Yes, he was a ball-boy for the Falcons, but Arthur Blank got to know him to some degree, and I believe it became a rather close mutual respect. When Deshaun plays the falcons, Mr. Blank finds him and speaks to him. Mr. Blank was impressed with him, very much so. This had a lot to do with the mutual interest in bringing him to Atlanta. It was just not the right timing for the Falcons, or for Deshaun, or I’m sure that is where he would have wound up.

This dude is from humble humble humble beginnings with a stand up woman of god for a mom. Those guys just dont snap and start assaulting women. And he has not been charged. Very telling. He is innocent
