@Worlds strongest Wendy’s employee premature of me too say I admit but every indication was it would be the case. When he was asked about it earlier in the week he basically said he thinks he’s close to it and there would be nothing left to accomplish after this. Plus he was already on the fence last season. He would give a straight answer when asked during the post game about returning. I think we can expect an announcement soon. Likely doesn’t want to take attention from the team win.

Matt is now vindicated and can forget about all those years of losing in Detroit. I don’t believe any of that was his fault but rather the fault of Ford management and less that sub par coaches over the years.
He could and should of left after his rookie contract though. He couldn’t resist the massive contract offers which is up to him, but there’s no doubt he could of been an all-time great at a different franchise.

Pretty sure Kupp got a concussion on the last drive. Crazy how he was able to reset, figure out what’s going on, and still perform on the highest level was unbelievable.

Overdue for Matt Stafford. This was a “no lose” situation for me. Was pulling for Burrow, but Stafford deserves this. He’s always been amazing. And it’s not a coincidence that he was the QB of the 2 best WR stat seasons in the history of the NFL. Tough to be a Detroit fan today. They gotta feel sad today.
I can say as someone who grew up as a detroit fan I’m glad to see him finally get a ring and silence the haters who say he is overrated. Granted it’s not with the lions he still tried he brought us to 3 playoffs and I’ll never forget the 2013 Thanksgiving game where we went 40-10 on the packers.

I wish that they had held a Super Bowl watch party at Ford Field. It would have been amazing to see Detroit’s reaction.
As someone living in the greater Detroit area… just about everyone was rooting for Stafford. Between him and Eminem it’s the closest Detroit is going to get to a Super Bowl. Matt took so many hits for Detroit for over 10 years he deserves this and there were parties in the streets after they won. To be honest most of Detroit is treating it like it’s their own win
As a very meh Lions “fan”, that has never really expected much from the Lions because they are inevitably terrible, I always knew Stafford wasn’t the issue. I was on my feet while watching the last quarter of this game, rooting for the Rams. I am SO happy to see Stafford win.
Are you insane. We ate absolutely thrilled wtf. We live stafford. We know Detroit sucks lol. But damn, staffird stuck with us and we will never ever forget it. He’s our goat forever.
Kupp is one of the most talented and unselfish player I have seen in a long time. He is a tough dude as they were attacking him all game and he rised up when the stakes were high.
