12 minutes of Kupp highlights is just insane to me
Honestly thought it would be longer.
@Kristopher Lampley same way too short
@Logan’s sports takes I agree!
Dude was insane all year
Our fantasy league had someone with cooper kupp and Jonathan Taylor… let’s just say they won
i made it to championship with kupp, lost to week 17 jmarr chase
Same in my league too
@ekinek oof that hurts
i had kupp and taylor as well. also had stafford, mike evans, and aaron jones. unfortunately lost in the semi. nobody on my team scored a td that week and stafford threw 3 picks with one td.
greatest WR season ever: triple crown, offensive player of the year, most receptions in the playoffs, the 2 big catches at Tampa, the game winning SB drive
@BlackSuave44 Stafford’s a lock for the Hall. It is _impossible_ to keep out a Super Bowl winner that’s going to finish In the top five all time in yards.
All the mental gymnastics you argue to try to diminish hard stats don’t have any truck with bottom line reality. So what if the Lions threw a lot? May as well argue Adrian Peterson shouldn’t be in the Hall because his offenses handed the ball off to him a lot. 🙄
A terrible franchise asked Stafford to carry its offense for 12 years, and he did that. Imagine arguing that an athlete should be blamed for simply doing what a bad team asked him to do.
Lions had terrible O-lines, terrible RBs, and terrible defenses for a decade, and _none of that_ was the QB’s fault.
This pop-culture narrative that the QB gets both all the credit and all the blame for the team winning or losing is so brain-dead. A forever stupid take that’s become normalized by obnoxious talking heads in the media. It’s why league MVP is disgracefully only a QB award now, and the same faux-logic at the other end is the only argument someone like you has against Stafford.
Well, now that same stupid narrative supports Stafford, because it only took one postseason for him to compile a winning career postseason record. lol!
Any other QB would’ve had their career aborted by being drafted to the Lions. That Stafford survived for over a decade while compiling stats is only testament to his worthiness.
Get real, and get over it.
@CognizantCheddar – LMAO!!
You put a lot of work into this diatribe, didn’t you. I bet you read it, reread it. Checked for grammatical errors…the whole nine.
Well, good for you. Your argument is still BS, but I like what you did. You stated your case, made what you thought was good points, and stand behind them. But still, you can’t lose for 12 years and win for one and think, oh yeah, let’s get him in the HoF….ASAP! STAT!! Pronto!
Dude, you gotta win games even with the odds are against you, beat better teams, win games that you had no business winning. When did he ever beat a better team? Stafford blew a 14 point, playoff lead against Romo, a QB that the world loves to hate. He had zero playoff wins in 12 years. He gets one year when he finally wins one. And, yes, he went on to win a Super Bowl. That’s great but, you gotta do more than that.
Everybody knows it’s a fancy passing stat era anyway. There are other guys with great numbers and no Super Bowls. They are guys with multiple Super Bowl wins, and not in.
If they let them in or some kind of sentiment, it wouldn’t surprise me. I know in my heart it will be public opinion based, sentimental and because he’s a likable guy. The same yahoos kept T.O. out just because they didn’t like him…regardless of his ridiculous numbers. So anything is possible. All we can do is state opinions around here. Everybody’s not going to agree with you. That’s just the way the world works, man.
@BlackSuave44 It took me 10 minutes on a smartphone, then I added a paragraph.
You instantly resorting to lame ad hominem only tells me you have nothing better to offer. We all know you’re not really laughing. 🙃
@CognizantCheddar – It took you 45 min and a proofreader, but whatever. I forgive you, it will not hold your shortcomings against you. People like you are victims of the moment.
No one should get into the Hall of Fame of the strength of one season. It’s the result of cumulative work. Nothing Stafford with this done in the previous 12 seasons puts him In HoF, so how can he make it now simply by joining a team that was already Super Bowl capable, as Goff has already proved that…he took me to the Super Bowl.
But, we’ll probably get it anyway, because the standards are so low now. All you gotta do is do to get in now is be a fan favorite. Hey, let’s forget his 12 years of being a complete loser. He took the KD route to winning a championship (joining a team that didn’t need you).
easily the best Wr season of all time if your including playoffs…
These modern receivers get to play and dome stadiums with perfect weather conditions, lax rules, and way more throwing than games of yesterday.
Michael Irvin had 192 yard game on a muddy field in San Francisco. That’s something Cooper Kupp will never top…ever.
@BlackSuave44 Kupp had a 250 yard game when it was like below freezing in Cincinnati in 2019
@Radioactiveape – Irvin had his in a playoff game, against 8-9 all pro defenders.
It was the year that SF stacked the deck to beat the Cowboys…while the whole league sat and watched. It was literally the entire league rooting against the Cowboys, and the commissioner did nothing. Hey, let’s pool all our good players together and beat Dallas.
@BlackSuave44 alright I believe you
@Lucy Boi I randy moss had the best wide out season it’s super hard to score touchdowns that’s one thing a db will do anything not to give up
loved watching this guy the whole season. Such a great performance through the whole year and topping it off with a super bowl win+sbmvp
Has there ever been a more versatile WR? People talk about where McVay lines him up, but there isn’t any other WR in the league versatile enough do so. His footwork is astonishing, his route running and timing is perfect, he’s crazy smart, patient, has good hands, can beat man and zone, leads the league in YAC. He’s been the best receiver both in the slot and deep. He’s one of the best blocking WRs. He is also the clutchest receiver in the NFL.
@BlackSuave44 ur a hater he is the best he’s a champion and Superbowl MVP just admit u hate seeing a white boy outshine blacks
@Kol Thaqi – Please. Stat Padford force-feeds the ball to one guy and has been doing this his entire career. This is why Calvin Johnson has huge number seasons.
Cooper Kupp is nothing special, except to…you people.
Yes Julio Jones, AB, etc come on y’all stop acting like it ain’t better WR
He’s insane brah footwork is so patient and even better he just be wide open almost every time.
Though he was insane all season, his biggest game no doubt was Super Bowl. To put his team on his back that second half and make all the big plays to win that ring was legendary and undoubtedly his biggest game of his career
U definitely right but AD killed the superbowl. Those two last plays got me calling out on Wednesday so I can hit the parade. First one in LA to. Love my city… now Lakers need to step up
I thought the Rams were going to get crushed. That 4th quarter was a nail biter
@savannah without ad we lose without kupp we lose without stafford we lose all of them we’re huge but in the bengals game our offense was not good and we had to overcome injuries kupp came up when we absolutely needed it but Donald is a beast and did end the game
I’ve always contended that if you can get on the same page, there’s no QB a WR would rather play w/ then Stafford. Part of the problem w/ Stafford is he throws w/ alot more anticipation than most QBs and has a mean fastball. This puts a lot of onus on the WR to understand the assignment, get to the right place at the right time, have good hands, and be able to make adjustments according to the situation. I think the Stafford-Kupp connection if they can stay healthy could go down on the level of Rice-Montana, Rodgers-Adams.
@Walking Bucket I’ll just say that I’ve watched nearly every Rams game in the past 20 years, plus full game highlights from before that. That includes watching the legendary Warner/Holt and Warner/Bruce combos. This is even more special than what they had together. Everyone has miscues, but those were few and far between even early in the season. Rodgers and Adams are a great contemporary duo, but they can’t even really compare to all time greats. Never even got close to a chip together and they’re almost definitely not going to get another shot at it.
@Gabe Spence I agree that it is much more special, just that year 3/4 Rodgers + Adams were a little more proficient. But in fairness I’ll defer to what you’ve seen cos it’s hard for me catch all the games.
Reminds me so much of Bret farve
@Walking Bucket even that i think i would give to kupp and stafford, they worked together nearly everyday on those types of throws and thats prt of why kupp is so great, the connection w a good qb
I feel sorry for anyone that hates this dude. He is arguably the most humble receiver today, such a team guy, respectful and is simply an all out competitor. What an absolute character and role model for the game.
@777pusher Yes pushing a narrative lmao he’s been elite 1 year and now everyone calling him the best don’t fly with most people
@Quan Honson – to be clear, “currently” the best…. Agreed?
@777pusher No doubt about it
he’s a high motor player, with a lot of grit, a real fundamental player with high football iq
@AircraftOfSomeType exactly
Still have no idea how my friends say he’s only a borderline top 3 receiver. In fact one of my friends said he’s not even close to the same level of Deandre Hopkins and Davante Adams. Cooper Kupp had the greatest single season ever for a receiver; triple crown receiving leader, OPOY, helps his team win the Super Bowl, and gets Super Bowl MVP. He always finds a way to get open, has more reliable hands than anyone else, and is one of the toughest, grittiest receivers I’ve seen in my lifetime. If that doesn’t mean you’re currently the best at your position I don’t know what does.
@Martin Thomas its not reverse racism. its racism
@Young Patriot check your friend’s bags. They must be on something because that is the dumbest crap I’ve ever heard in my life.
@Dr Musky I’m super white dude and I just respect great players for being great players. You should give it a try. One of my favorite players is named Aaron Donald he’s black. Just be happy for the god damn super bowl win. We are Ramily here
@SmellyCat did I say that I wasn’t happy for anybody? Read my comment before u start accusing. I wasn’t even talking to u…😂
He isn’t close to adams or Hopkins watch these highlights and then watch adams highlights this season and watch where he lines. Watch how difficult the defense makes it for adams to get open and he still does with his route running but kupp gets free releases and doesn’t get manned up. Adams wipes in everything besides rac
I knew he was going to have a great season but I never would of thought Triple Crown Super Bowl MVP. Real Ram fans know he’s been good since his rookie year he just needed to stay healthy for a full season
Lmao yeah for sure I remember every time we had a third down since we’ve had him I kept on thinking just find kupp he’ll be open
Facts. I’ve loved Kupp ever since he first joined the team. Always admired his run after the catch ability, consistency, and reliability. Always hated seeing him gettin injured, but amazing to see what he did when he finally got a better QB along with staying healthy. Couldn’t have asked for a better season from a WR. Hope he’s able to keep it up next year too!
The Rams would’ve beat shady brady when they played in the SB but rams didn’t have Cupp.or their starting allpro rb. Their 2 best players
The greatest WR season in NFL history
Not greatest but one of them for sure👍🏽
@Kool Koby Who is greatest?
@Kool Koby it’s one of the greatest
Best WR season of all time counting playoffs. Easily at that. 500 yards clear of the next best receiver, Larry Fitzgerald in 2008. Triple crown winner, Offensive Player of the Year, and Superbowl MVP. Doubt it will ever be topped but who knows. If a megatron like receiver comes into the league and is on a team that has a deep playoff run, it can be done, but that’s a longshot. For now though, Kupp is King.
Stafford is responsible for 2 of the best WR seasons ever. He’s gotta get some credit there.
@That Boy – I don’t know if you know this, but the Lions have lost a lot of games with Stafford. A lot. In losing a lot of those games, they were behind a lot, way behind.
When teams lose a lot, they throw a lot. Hence, padding stats occur. Only morons go by stats only. This is why you have to watch the games and apply some context. I don’t know any other way to break this down for you. It’s at the lowest level already. I can’t Barney level it any further for you anymore.
The Breakfast Club! Put some respek on Stafford’s name…he’s elite.
@WhereTheBudAt – What makes him elite? Didn’t know one season could bail out 12 other seasons of failure.
Stafford doesnt get enough credit for this. Look at Calvin’s and Cooper’s stats before and after Stafford becomes their quarterback. They may be great recievers. But Stafford being the quarterback throwing to them made them legends.
Regular & Postseason combined, Cooper Kupp this year had: 2,425 receiving yards/ 178 receptions / 22 TD’s.
If that was a player’s numbers at the end of a video-game season, you’d complain how unrealistic the stats are LOL.
Now, I don’t feel so bad when my receivers get those stats in my Madden Franchise after seeing those numbers.
He’s like the Curry of receivers. Seems they play in a different reality lol
Cooper Kupp…. the man, the myth, the legend..
This man singlehandedly saved my fantasy season, chuffed to see him win it all this year (still think he got screwed on the Regular season MVP)
Won’t see Kupp getting an excessive celebration penalty. He gets a TD, throws the ball to the ref, celebrates a little with his team and that’s it. Humble guy.
The greatest season by a receiver I’ve ever witnessed this is only the beginning for him. I’m a patriots fan still gotta give him his due. Congrats to him for a tremendous season
Some years before the Rams came back in town I wanted your Paits to win the big game some years I didn’t. Respect your team though
