There was a time when wearing that proud Indian head on your helmet meant something – it meant you were a winner, it meant you were a champion, people respected you, people even feared you. Unfortunately the last 25 years that has not been the case. Nobody from the last 25 years really stand out to me, so I’ll go further back and say Darryl Grant, Kurt Gouveia, Pete Wysocki, Ron Saul, Chip Lohmiller, Jim Lachey, Ron McDole, Jay Schroeder, and all the Smurfs: Alvin Garrett, Virgil Seay and Charlie Brown.

Jaosn Wright isnt the guy i initially thought he was. I thought he would actually care about the fans and what they have to say. I thought he would bring innovation and actually give us something fresh and new. the name Commanders was not high on the list at all..this is something the franchise decided to do on their own because they wanted a military themed name. Out of the hundreds of fan submitted jerseys, they really did not take the opportunity to do it justice and left a lot of style points on the table. The helmets are cool tho but thats really it. Even the black jerseys couldve been way better but theyre just decent. Its as if no one in this organization is creative and dont know how to innovate. This studio style media content is OUTDATED. how many people will actually go to the command legacy website?? stop with these old ideas and please live in 2022. Even the new name feels old.

I speak for millions of die hard Redskins fans, we will never embrace Commanders because Redskins is not just a name it is a way of life. As Doc said, it is tattooed on our hearts. Those that tell us to pick another team just don’t understand, after being a fan for 50 years we simply don’t have anywhere else to go. Please try to understand our stance and yes, we want this team to win we have been through too many losing seasons and turmoil on and off the field so just put up with us continuing to call them the Redskins and we will adapt to the changes evolving throughout this team and the entire NFL.
