The Raiders coaches were thoroughly outcoached vs Chiefs. The players were put in bad – no win – situations = the Offense wasn’t able to get into a rhythm because they didn’t stretch the field and mix up the depth of the passes enough and they ran way too much early on and the Defense wasn’t blitzing enough and getting too deep in zone coverages, as well as playing with bad technique and poor tackling.
That can’t happen again if they want to win!!!
The fact is that we’re not better off without Gruden = especially his 2nd half adjustments!!!But what is even worse than that, the Ruggs situation destroyed this team!!! Because we’re no longer a vertical passing team, we miss his speed = stretching the field and opening up the underneath for the rest of our skill players, his game-changing playmaking abilities that led the league in explosive plays and most of his attitude, confidence, work ethic and overall presence as a guy that everyone loves!!! It’s greatly affected Carr, WRs, TEs and the entire Offense, as well as the Defense not having the confidence that the Offense can score 7 in 1 play… now the Offense can’t even score more than 20 points in a game!!!
AND it’s obvious that the Ruggs situation has greatly affected the coaching staff!!! The last 2 games, the gameplans and adjustments were the worst in years, for play designs to play calls to adapting to what the opposing defense is doing to the way we attack and the players we should be scheming to get the ball to and the defensive players to attack by getting them in no win situations… everything about this Raiders team is off right now and it’s because they’re grieving… Ruggs was fun to be around, he was loved by his teammates and coaches and he was electric and explosive playmaker that was the promising, exciting, bright future of this Raiders team!!! They have a black cloud hanging over them right now and sadly, not much silver lining… now add to that the injuries… this is more depressing and devastating than knowing that they’re in rebuild mode, because we had a bunch of talent that was traded away or let go and replaced with less talented drafted players and free agents that cost more but haven’t produced like players we could have signed and now we have a less talented HC to replace the HC that had traded away the foundation of our team… Mack, Cooper, Hudson, Jackson… then not re-signing Demico Autry, Nelly and others… the players we could have drafted and the players we could have signed…??? The players that loved Gruden that came here to play for him or that were drafted by him!!!
I think that Ruggs might not have done that if Gruden was still the coach.
The only way that this Raiders team turns it around is if they can come to terms with the whole Ruggs situation, the O Line steps up and blocks a lot better, but most importantly have D-Jax go deep 65% of the time and throw him at least 3 passes early in the game and another couple of bombs midway through the game and later in the 2nd half and put Waller at WR split out wide the rest of the time and either get him 1 on 1 or open up the field for the rest of the receivers!!! But bottom line is that they have to start the game with a bomb then utilize the West Coast Short Passing Game and add a couple of deep routes here and there, but keep throwing the ball!!! That will eventually setup the run!!! But it has to be based upon going deep to spread out the defense, then dink and dunk and then attack further down field, then they can mix in the run!!! Because if not, it’s over.

Why dont we utilize the whole field on offense? Derek seems to only focus on the main target for that particular play and if he isnt open he throws it away or yakes the sack. Dude look and throw it to ur 2nd or 3rd option too.

I’m at the point where if waller don’t get 12+ targets I’m pissed. We need this win to hold tie breakers for wild card spots.

Couple of things; first if the Raider Lose this week…start counting a top ten draft pick. I’ve been a non-Raiders rose colored glass wearing fool for 30 + years. You can hope and route for the Raiders, but when reality hits it hurts. They need to win there next two games and do it now…or…..start the head coaching watch. we have as much drama this year as wins not a good equation. Been a Raiders fan since 1980 – debate me please?

So tired of hearing Zay Jones name and production on field not matching up. For amount of times we hear Zay’s name, you’d think he was our #1 WR and a Pro Bowler smh. Olson needs to get more creative, more jet sweeps, slants, screens, reverses, etc. would love to see modern play calling. Tempo play calling. Tired of obvious play calls and the 3rd and longs or the obvious 3 and outs u just feel n know coming.

I wish these reporters would ask tough questions or questions fans want to know about. How about challenging coaches and asking “do u think teams find your play calling predictable or not as creative or explosive as some of the younger coordinators?” “When u play Chiefs again will u play different defense since others had success all year playing with 2 safety’s back and not a cover 3?” “Have u thought of maybe putting Waller at WR to switch it up a bit?” Something like this, instead of same old questions

We Need To Step up and not making the same mistakes. On both sides.

How can we keep the defense guessing when there’s a blue print out on our predictable QB! 🤷🏻‍♂️

I wish we were still in Oakland! At least there’s no visiting team fan’s that would crowd our stadium, and the black hole would make sure of that!
