@Matteo The Steelers won a home game against the last place team in their division, nothing great about that.

@Steel Phantom I mentioned several reasons why this was a positive win in my original comment. If you don’t see what I’m saying, that’s a reading comprehension thing. I will clarify what a “meaningful” game is though. It means the Steelers weren’t eliminated and had a chance to make the post season before the game started–they had something to play for. Some teams have been eliminated for weeks, so their games literally had no bearing on the rest of their season. But I can’t help but think that you knew exactly what I meant, and are just the type of person that gravitates toward negative interaction/interpretation whenever the change arises.

@TonioTyme Funny how the men that actually play for him, whose opinions are orders of magnitude more informed and important than yours. don’t feel the same way. Lets be real though, there’s another reason why you don’t like Coach T that you aren’t saying.

@Matteo Of course the players must “adore” him because they LOOSE & he seems fine with not winning anything meaningful 😅 his “great” relationship with the players being more of a friend than a head coach is PRECISELY the culture problem I refer to 😖

& to be clear yet again the only thing that matters in Pittsburgh is championships & that’s why NOBODY including myself care about the Penguins record number of consecutive playoff appearances, something you understand better when you live here but ONLY PLAYOFF VICTORIES & CHAMPIONSHIPS MATTER everything else is a failed season

& so to get back to your question, IMO if Tomlin could offer even a single playoff win that wasn’t the giveaway by the Bengals in the last 10 years I would have ZERO problem with his leadership but at this point he’s proven ONLY maintaining his shiny above .500 REGULAR season record matters to him & winning NOTHING of consequence is just fine & to think anything more of him is just foolishness 👎 🚫 💯

@Matteo I’m just a realist and able to think objectively not letting my emotions do my thinking for me , but I understand and respect your passion for the Steelers. The Steelers going 9-8 or 8-9….there really isn’t any difference this team is rebuilding and the process will take a lot morel time than most fans realize similar to the 80’s Steelers teams when all those great players retired.

It’s a shame that Tomlin can’t get into post season on the rare chance we do its 1 and out. The goal is to get to the Superbowl and we haven’t been there in 10 years.

Dude for 16 seasons M.T has had undefeated seasons. Out of that 16, how many times have the steelers been to the superbowl and how many times have they made it past the first round in the playoffs.

That’s the problem! Too many people are okay with this consistent mediocrity. When you start 2-6 nobody has any expectations, so there’s no more pressure. It’s a great that they fought their way back to being one game above.500 but this has been the pattern of Mike Tomlin’s teams for years. Once the pressure is off, Tomlin’s teams play pretty good.

I mean they fucked it up themselves not beating the teams they should going 3-7 and losing to a terrible jets team, then depending on them to win.

I’m glad he flexed his winning record that didn’t end up mattering except for his ego.
