Definitely a preseason game. Mullens should be the backup QB. Hell with “knowing the system”. The HC and QB coach should adjust the system to the backup. They’d have to do that no matter who the backup is.
And you dont want Stidham or Mullins playing in the regular season game or playoffs like in 2016 playoffs against the Texans

The system is simply the language and the philosophy of the offense. The preseason is about running the same 20-25 basic plays using multiple players. The system will never change but is adjusted for each week with the available talent vs the weekly opposition. That’s how it works. If a player can’t play well, but most others are, then it’s not the system. If the team is doing bad as a whole, it’s the philosophy and lack of teaching at the coaches level. If everything goes well, the coaches are completely knowledgeable on their own system and teach it well, and the system philosophy is very solid, but it’s not the system. There’s only a few offenses that are run in the NFL, so it’s not going to make a difference to change the system if coaches are inexperienced or inept. The talent reacts to the coaches and philosophy, not the system.
Nick Mullens definitely did better than what he did last week But like the announcers said all 3 QBs did well today so still gonna be tough on the QB depth.
Carr is still the main man!

Stidham was focused on run first throw second. Our blocking needs major improvement. Vikings defense bailed us out on numerous penalties. I can’t wait for our starters. Go Raiders!

As I was watching the game, I was observingJosh and the coaching staff and the intensity to execute was what I loved most of all
I feel great about the team as a whole but the o line does worry the hell outta me, I hope it doesn’t become a problem
Glad we finally got to go without the thing. We took my youngest to his first game and man he had a blast! He even got people saying raaiiddeerrs leading a chant. Was awesome!!!!! 🖤
