Another crazy game, typical Raiders, and they’re able to come out with a second consecutive win. I have no idea what awaits in the offseason all I know they have to continue to improve and finish the rest of the season strong. I’m still not the biggest McDaniels fan but if he is in fact going to be the HC for some time as Davis said well then, he has some time to prove all the doubters wrong.
Mcdummy is learning as we go..Ever heard, Fake it until you make it ? Mcdummy has done nothing but blow smoke, blame the team using statements like..We need to learn this, or learn to do that..But in reality, its Mcdummy who looks like he might be finally calling plays that work….
Imo he still needs to check himself and go with the play that has the best odds on
short yardage. He messed it up AGAIN with that horrible call on 4th and inches,
announcers were even dumbfounded, and almost cost the team the game there.
I honestly think that he fears being predictable more than all else… including winning. The fact that he finally kept feeding Jacobs the ball shows growth to me, and not pulling him with like 5 mins left in the game. And then see him scheming him open, like that fake screen where he did a delayed slant. (The play that even the announcers didnt even know what to call it lol).
@John Summers This year is just a big question mark. The expectations not being met, the drama rumors, the McDaniels debate the list goes on. Some fans need to settle down after the two wins while some need to take an anti-depressant. The emotion is understandable given the things I listed but, in the end, it is what it is. Whether you love, hate, or are indifferent to McDaniels we’re presumably stuck with him for now. As I said I still have my doubts but as a RAIDER fan I hope he proves me wrong.

McDaniels had at least 4 questionable decisions in this game. (1) Fg with time in first half (2) Pitch on 4th and inches (3) Running out the clock with 48 seconds and 2 timeouts not going for it (4) 57 yard FG attempt on 4th and 2 in OT! THANK GOD FOR CROSBY!!!
Yes, the fg was very conservative, I think that he could have made another play. The pitch worked earlier in the game. Although I was just as scared and thought a sneak would work in that moment as well. Running out the clock was very crazy. Usually he doesnt like to run in the last minutes of the game. I think having Abdullah in the back he was trying to make them think pass, although if that were Jacobs, maybe he has his 80 some yard run. The FG attempt i was screaming. I “knew” Carlson could make it (boy was I wrong) but its different offense and defense if you are playing for a touchdown, as you could see the Seahawks playing for 20 yards vs a touchdown. But, checking out our other games, when you are balanced on offense you do great things. I dont think any coach calls a perfect game, but hopefully we see him turn a corner. My biggest gripe against him was pulling Jacobs in last 5 minutes of games, and not sticking with the run either having a big lead or being down, we’d just abandon it.
Agreed. I don’t have a problem with the fg as Carlson has been almost automatic. The pitch on 4th and inches(qb sneak anyone?) was horrific. I’d add all the 3rd and short runs too. Roll out and toss it to the te once in a while. They had the entire team stacked in the box. Does DC have the liberty to change the play at the line?

@John Summers It’s not that I don’t like the pitch play in general. The reason that particular pitch bothered me was we only needed one or two yards. On 4th down, I think it’s dumb to make your running back have to take the ball five yards deep. If coach wants a run play, fine, let Jacobs run it up the gut or QB sneak.

Awe I bet it was. the end of the game was crazy my heart was racing I bet your blood pressure was up it was loud. then once Josh took off pure euphoria. Glad you got to go to a game where they played their heart out and won……6 games left 6 games to make the playoffs we may be able to take an L to a NFC and get in 9 and 8 will have to see at the end of the year. We owe Herbert and the electric cars they drive around there. I think Renfrow and Waller come back after next week either that or 2 more games can’t remember how many they’ve been out but I know it has to be four I think next week will be 4

I agree but the defense is giving up dam near 30 points a game the average team has 10 drives a game carr and the offense have to put up 28 points a game to have a sniff at winning with out Waller and renfrow our defense is literally almost last if not last in every major important defensive stat we had to score 40 today to win the defense is holding back this team Crosby is the only one worth keeping think of this Brady worst defense in 2002 is better then carrs best defense he ever had
