Chiefs are beatable. Chargers and Patriots gave the blueprint – focus on possession time, running the ball, covert third downs. This keeps Mahomes off the field and doesn’t let their offense get any rhythm or momentum.
Our D really needs to step things up, because if they play like they’ve been playing, Chiefs will drop 45 pts on us easy.
Offense needs to CONVERT THIRD DOWNS. Stay on the field. Commit to the run. Run out the clock on them.
Don’t hold back, open up the offense, don’t play to not lose, play to Win!. Win big,

aleph null yeah but it’s not a coincidence that good players come here and start underperforming. It’s a coaches league, Littleton is lost out there because Guenthers schemes are too confusing and lack foundation, there’s no identity. Why is Joyner now a cornerback despite being a great safety his whole career? Why is Erik Harris a starting safety/captain? Why are our D Ends sloppily dropping back in coverage while one DB blitzes? Why are we playing 10 yards off the ball on third and short? Why did we do nothing schematically to adjust to the Pats outside run game? Coaching isn’t setting our team up to succeed. We’re wasting talent and I’m scared we’re losing the locker room.
West Weir – I actually want Guenther replaced. I think our D would be a lot better. I’m just talking about things that are fixable right now. Come Sunday, each player is responsible for themselves. They can limit penalties and practice good fundamentals. After that, it’s up to the coaching and from what I’ve read I think we are on the same page there. We just need Jon to muster the stones to find a replacement for next season.
aleph null I hear you, and your last point is what I’m scared of. Gruden brought in PG and likes the guy personally. Gruden also has a fat ego which is frankly kinda unfounded in the modern game, so releasing PG would be an admission of guilt.
We started Ruggs week one with no preseason, saying he’s been out is a moot point.
