@Dallas Texans 1952 The NFL has always been a business. It’s just that they did a better job of selling it as something else during the 60s – 80s. For all of its flaws, it’s still the #1 sports league in the country. I don’t see that changing any time soon, even though I totally agree that there are very few players in the league now who could compete with any of the old school greats. I feel that way about some of the coaches, too.
@Gabe N Teams don’t play to be average. They play to win championships. .500 ball wasn’t good enough to get the team to the playoffs. It might be a moral victory of sorts in terms of gradually building a successful program, but it’s a fail in every other way that matters. Maybe next season the Raiders can get over the hump and have a winning season and reach the playoffs. Fix the defense and they have a shot.
@Ron Krikorian The “change” that needs to happen is that the Raiders must focus on building a better defense. Period. Just go back and look at the defensive rank for every Raiders team going back 8 – 10 years. I think even Aaron Rodgers’ record would look mediocre with the defenses the Raiders have fielded. It’s sad, because most Raiders fans see it, but the Front Office can’t seem to get it right.

I seen some people coming for Josh under his IG posts. Everyone makes mistakes…and instead of saying I hope your okay they talk smack. Truly embarrassed to see the way some fans act.
Yeah it’s a shame people do that makes me upset just cause one mistake does not define who u are as a person.. we don’t know all details however if he was under the influence let’s be thankful that nobody was seriously hurt or worse. Jacobs is a good man and whatever happens he seems to be the type of person that will learn from this and be even a better person..
@Tina Dunn I never said what he did was right, not once did I say that. No one is perfect…and again everyone makes mistakes. Josh knows about his actions, we learn from them. The most important thing is that he is ok, and no one got seriously injured. Saying negative things on his posts doesn’t make anything better.
There is nothing to celebrate, three years and hasn’t show anything yet. There is a couple of rookie coaches that are doing more with less talent and not milking the shield, our Raiders. He has to go and take his old fart coaches with him and happy feet Carr. All they are garbage.

the offence for the most part ( not Atlanta ) didnt do to bad…Carr improved overall….and offensive line went through hell….kudos to Tom Cable….DEFENCE…DEFENCE..DEFENCE…..the DC pick needs to be a good one….you want to be the big dog…you got to pay the big dog price

Aaron Jones had a weed DUI his rookie season and served a two game suspension. Now almost no one even remembers. As long as Josh doesn’t repeat this dumb mistake he will be fine.

Thank God for Jon Gruden. Watching the bronco game was like watching the movie the longest yard, the refs rip the Raiders off so bad constantly and in so many different ways that winning that game was like winning the Super Bowl for me. The coach hung in there and put together a team but the truth is the league and the refs hate us and do whatever they can to make sure we don’t get to the playoffs. The NFL cheats itself by not having the most exciting team in the league in the playoffs and steering in who they want to win. Keep coaching them up coach one year we’ll be so good no matter how they rip us off we will prevail. Go Raiders!
