The 3rd and long is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard from an offensive coordinator. The goal of the game is you have 4 downs to make a 1st down. It’s like, the goal of the game is to score points. This is why godsey puts in brissett with 4 and 1 and instead of sneaking his 6’3″ frame up the middle, he runs him outside and then flubs the play and doesn’t make the first down.
I agree, the goal of offense is lost on this coordinator staff. It’s not burn time and let the defense get on the field, go score some points every drive! That’s how you win games!
@System overlord I never applied for the job. And it takes two guys and a QB coach to call the plays for the fins. So think about that for a minute and put your finger back up your nose

this guy really should not have a job here. i’m sorry but there are, at the very least, some REALLY questionable calls that are on this guy. certain situations have everyone in my house genuinely scratching their heads, we need to hire someone else yesterday.
Agreed on the last part, but he definitely makes up for it all with certain plays; like the Waddle running TD 🤷♂️

This play calling on 3rd down …. putting Jacoby in… running wildcat on 3rd & 12 is an absolute joke, not having Giseke in on redzone or 3rd downs. I’m sorry but Charlie Frye needs to be the OC and only one.
