The overreactions to a preseason game is pretty funny. In the year the Browns went 0-16, they were 4-0 in the preseason.

    While what your saying is true, there are legitimate holes in our roster. DL and WR are two glaring issues. Preseason is all about who’s showing up for a job. I get the “overreaction” to the loss. But Cleveland has some real problems they need to address and it’s cause for concern. Js

    @Kristopher Gutierrez our biggest problem in the WR corp has been Schwartz, and we still haven’t seen the offense with our starting O-line, RBs, and Amari Cooper, all which will contribute to getting the other WRs open as the other teams will have more to account for. Also haven’t seen the full starting defense. Myles Garrett along will probably take 2 linemen which will help get the DL more 1-1 matchups, along with the fact that JOK, Philips, Johnoson III or Delpit could come down to blitz. We don’t have as much talent there, but I wouldn’t call it a glaring hole until a little ways into the regular season (give it 3-4 games)

    deprioritized the WR position, not playing key offensive/defensive starters throughout preseason, losing Jakeem Grant to injury and not investing in a replacement, Joe Woods defense will keep games tighter than they need to be, (early) over-reliance on Cade York will likely erode his confidence

Seems like Curtis Weaver quietly makes one big sack or one nice play per game. Of course I’m not watching him on every play and so not able to truly grade him on the rest of his play.
Wims has a knack for going up high near the sideline and pulling the ball down with these leaping catches. If Wims makes the roster, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Kevin dial up a high pass in the back croner of the end zone where Brissett lays one up so he can out-leap his defender.

To all the people who are commenting on how it seems Dobbs plays faster than Brissett: you’re not wrong.
Grossi wrote a really inciteful article on TLOD about the similarities between Frank Ryan and Josh Dobbs. Dobbs is a genius. Read the article if you have access to it. Rothlisburger would consult with Dobbs on the sideline on what was supposed to happen on certain plays because Dobbs knew the playbook bettrer than anybody. It’s no wonder people are seeing Dobbs play quick, you’re not imagining it. It’s not just the athletecism, he processes the game in front of him quickly. Take that for what you will. That’s not a knock on Brissett.

I know it’s only preseason boy do I have concerns. Schwartz needs to figure out whether he wants to be in the NFL; Jacoby Brissett played average at best and the DBs need to collaborate a bit, too many easy plays for Justin Fields to wide open receivers.
