The difference between the Spielman/Zimmer era and now is amazing.

@Bighead We went to Phillie with what was supposed to be one of the league best defense and got slaughter with a head coach that was supposed to be a defensive mastermind. Yes, he made a defense better after the Childress era. But Zimmer was not HC material, he was a defensive coach, adding HC responsibilities killed him. He consistently was outcoach by coaches with lesser players. The Saints had 6 rushing TD on the great Zim defense.

Your a pretty easy guy to please aye

    RealThor89

@Bighead I’m not talking trash , but honestly there is not many players nor culture left that was wanted or built by zimmer – Rick on the other hand didn’t see his job in jeopardy until it happened-

The offense absolutely told the truth earlier this year – the D didn’t have anyone backing zimmer like that – it’s a brand new year , brand new culture –

    Bighead

    @RealThor89 ya your right

    Matt

@RealThor89 you don’t think Zimmer’s discipline still plays a role in the locker room? It does. Plenty of Zims guys are still there. Part of their success is because of the diversity they have. Real, non-superficial diversity. Diversity of mind. It’s not as simple as; young, loose, offensive-minded KOC = good. Old, disciplined, curmogony, defensive-minded Zimmer = bad. Just cuz the players themselves don’t see it doesn’t mean it isn’t true. I would have been fed up too, they had exhausted themselves with the last system and didn’t see the end goal after being so close. But they’re clearly benefiting from having the new regime mixed with the leftovers of the last one.

I like Boyd defending the chains on Twitter. That’s ours

Been following this for awhile. This segment is the best out of all of them, I honestly could listen to any guy, any position from Pat P to duke shelly. Starting qb to long snapper. Make this a weekly thing with possible. Unsure if it was planned or not, but I like a offensive, defensive and special teams guys.

Aaron H

KB needs more credit man he brings the hype Sunday

Jake Nelson

JJ could easily be the most diva/childish player and still get attention because of how good he is. the fact that he is so lowkey and a team player at his age, aka maturity, is very impressive imo (and rare)

Dale Lange

It really doesn’t get said much but the Vikings organization has really done a stellar job in connecting their fans to their players. Whether it’s the “personal aspect and opinions” shown in Chopping It Up or the “player to player connection” The Audible presents or the “recap” Between The Lines offers or even Film Room for the studious fans, regardless of which might be your favorite, the Vikings create content that appeals to almost anyone. Well done Zygi and company…Bravo.

Ruth Rader

It takes a special type of tough to talk on a video like these guys do. They’re focused and honest. That makes for a better team. And the guys are…better and a team. Go Vikings!! Thank You for this great video.

Clinton Reisig

“Chopping it up” reminds me of the historical Vikings doing battle with battle axes 😆

I’ve been watching football since I was 10. I finally picked a team to support and I picked the Vikings when i was 12. Throughout the years I questioned my decision but never wavered. I even have a viking tattoo. These segments along with the team summarizes my journey as a black male. Tough through adversity, unwavering in my faith, and believing in myself. After listening to these segments…it only reaffirms my decision. Thank you Gabe Henderson for bringing me even closer to this team. 🙌

Caleb Solomon

I see a lot of people on the team gravitate towards Kris Boyd. Hope he’s a special teams captain soon

Joshua Brook

Man, I love these Chopping It Up segments. Please please do more!

RealThor89

This show is absolutely incredible and I can’t stop watching !

EMILY TAIL

I just said “This team could be one of the Best in the NFL” If the Vikings improve the Defense and maintain good protection for Cousins. I would like to see our running game improve though its looking like the weakest link on an explosive offensive scheme. Cant we get the Best of both worlds? I know the defensive leaders know what makes a great defense cause they were rated one of the best in the NFL a few years back when Zimmer was a good coach and wanted to win the SB. I honestly think if the Vikings can work a miracle on defense then the Vikings have a shot at a SB this year.
