Right the Chargers have a very good defense but the Chiefs D is much improved too. They hung tough all game. Mahomes and company will figure it out.
A few bad plays… but still, he walks away with a clean game

I think they converted every 4th down they attempted. BOTH teams’ offenses had a crisis of confidence on 4th and short.

Yeah I think out of our first eight games I think the toughest game is going to be against the bills because of Josh Allen and let’s face it if it wasn’t for him the bills wouldn’t be anybody and the second toughest game I feel in the first eight was last night’s game against the charger

I hope that the coaching staff especially spags and realizes that this kid Watson needs and deserves a lot more playing time now he’s going to get plenty of playing time until McDuffie comes back but I think that Watson needs to be on the field at times even if it was with McDuffie at the same time

The two Watsons made amazing plays in this game. Justin Watson 41 yard TD pass and Jaylen Watson 99 yard interception had such an impact on this game.

Its pretty cool, neither player was in KC last year, and one guy was at Wendys. A lot of talking heads talked about how the chiefs didnt add much in the offseason, well the literally added a W with both Watsons.

The conditioning of the Chiefs…far superior to the Chargers…they were running out of energy as the Chiefs D put in work in the 4th qtr.
Chiefs are also pretty ruthless about rotating their guys, especially their D-Line, so the 1s still have something left in the 4th quarter. There are still guys taking almost all the snaps, like Bolton and Thornhill, probably Gay. I’m not sure who Harris #47 went in for in the 4th quarter… I couldn’t tell you if Chenal got many snaps.
Nobody celebrating Ammendola coming in for 9 points with no recent experience. He was killer and gets a special place in our hearts this season.

Journeyman kicker who wasn’t asked to kick any long ones. Solid job. May land a gig somewhere off this. But the offense had worked the ball in close before blinking.
So many missed tackles really needs tightened up if this defense wants to progress as an elite unit
Man i love this team, all these guys are so respectful and appreciative of everyone around them and happy to be in the situation they’re in. All of them beasts yet so humble. They make it so easy for Chiefs fans to continue to root for our guys. I’m proud to be a Chiefs fan. I love our city
Did you notice as the game drug on the Chargers started to lose momentum? The Chiefs were tougher and had better endurance as a team. Could be Andy Reids infamous rigorous training camp, maybe the younger roster helped too. In any event, the Chiefs won this otherwise even matchup because they were tougher and more resilient down the stretch. Injuries and fatigue set in on the Chargers in that second half. That is my analysis of what happened. No thanks are necessary.
