Charlie Woerner: Homegrown in Georgia | Official Trailer

From his childhood playing for Rabun County High School in small town Tiger, Georgia to SEC football at the University of Georgia in Athens, tight end Charlie Woerner’s football career not only began but truly took off in Georgia. Then, with a sixth-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the San Francisco 49ers made Woerner take his talents cross-country.

Woerner saw through his rookie contract in California, ending with a Super Bowl run in the 2023 season. When he became a free agent shortly after, multiple teams showed interest. Woerner ultimately signed a three-year deal with the Atlanta Falcons on April 2, 2024. A Georgia kid through and through, Charlie was finally coming back home.
