Let’s go Jets.

Andrew Gluck

With the Second Overall Pick in the 2021 NFL Draft The New York Jets select QB Zach Wilson
Why do people keep saying Justin Fields is better than Zach Wilson like I think Zach Wilson was compared to Rodgers or Russel Wilson at one point and Justin Fields is like a Cam Newton

    Andrew Gluck

@Anthony Galeros that’s what I’m saying like he’s not better than Wilson maybe Mac Jones

    Lindles J

It’s a chance both are talented it may take one longer than the other to develop I’ll be happy with either

    Andrew Gluck

@Lindles J fields is like the Walmart version of Cam Newton

    Lindles J

@Andrew Gluck don’t rule him out especially if the Pats trade up for him

    Andrew Gluck

@Lindles J imagine Cam Newton teaching Justin Fields like that’s so odd

Andrew Gluck

Zach Wilson > Justin Fields

MinePlay 512

The picks must be Justin Fields and a Center.

    FreakWish 19

You comment on every video the Jets post saying this stupidity. Can’t wait to see you cry when they take Zach Wilson.

    MinePlay 512

@FreakWish 19 This is insulting and you are wrong. You the one being mean and I hope you stop. I am not staying anything stupid.

    FreakWish 19

@MinePlay 512 yea you are, just accept it dude, it’ll be Wilson. If Fields is picked, great, but you’re obnoxious about it. This just proves to me that you’re probably like 7 years old.

    MinePlay 512

@FreakWish 19 No I will not. And you need to stop since you are harassing me. I will never accept it.

    Chris Reynolds

There’s 0 percent chance it’s not Wilson. Every legitimate scout is wow’d by Wilson and I was a fan of fields but it is what it is.

Even as a joke, suggesting we go running back at no. 23 is nothing short of perverse, given our needs at OL and DB, especially. Particularly when you consider that the best name for a running back with no O Line to run behind should be something like “ground beef” or “chopped liver.” Remember what we did to poor Le’veon Bell. After the McCagnan debacle prioritizing “best athlete” over need gave us the deepest roster of defensive tackles known to mankind–and after catching breaks with both our first two picks allowed us to pick REAL athletes who also filled important holes–we can’t NOT buttress the interior offensive line with the 3rd best lineman just because the 2nd best RB is still on the board.
CB is another story. Possibly it’s wise that we take a cornerback who’s a better pick than whichever tackles, guards, or centers are available if they’re VERY far less in ability, but running backs can only really function up to their potential with the help of the guys we’d be passing on if we go RB at 23.
We could also use WR, LB, and EDGE help, of course, but DID at least partially address the first and third of those in free agency and it would take a MONSTROUS drop in draft stock (which would of course make me suspicious) before I went WR, LB, or EDGE with the second pick in the first round. If it was not already obvious, I THINK WE NEED O LINE HELP, PEOPLE!!! But a lockdown corner–if one were available–would go a long way toward easing my worried mind, as well.

You are right about that, RB at 23 would be ridiculous. I don’t think Joe Douglas values picking RB that high. I definitely think it will either be CB or IOL at 23.

    Vinny B

Yea no RB at 23. RBs don’t last long anymore so there’s no reason to waste a first round pick on a guy who’s going to have a short career. I do like getting one later on though.

    L T

@Vinny B Yeah me too. The jets can get a good RB in the 3rd or 4th round. Besides , the Jets are going to run the 49ers system which uses multiple running backs. The Jets have to fix the O line before drafting a RB in the first round

Eric T

Good grief no one should be thinking about RB at pick 23 or 34!!

    adrian rivera

    100%

Eric T

After the #2 pick I would love to see two offensive lineman and two corners.

Chris Reynolds

I don’t draft a Guard, I draft a Tackle that can play Guard ie Jenkins/Leatherwood/Carman

    L T

I would definitely draft Jenkins at #23, he can play both, tackle and guard and has a mean streak.. I would draft a guard in the later rounds for depth.

Eric Craig

If we are drafting a quarterback at 2 overall… the 23 and 34 have to be O line … otherwise we are putting our new quarterback in the same situation… # 23 should be Creed Humphrey… get the new quarterback and his center … so snap rhythm change of play calls and defense reads are worked out in the first year under contract…. the # 34 should be an athletic interior lineman … with those pics we have now done what we never did for Sam … keeping our quarterback upright and giving him opportunity for the Run game to actually get used

Bruno Helvetika

The trade should have been made already. Three number ones and a two and a 3 to San Francisco for our number 2. Then we could have built a winner instead of every three years New GM, New coach, New QB, repeat. 2025 I’m going to purchase an auto insurance policy from Joe Douglas. State Farm Agent.
