    @BDG Comics Yes, and last time it happened they didn’t even stop the game. The guy died right there on the field, they kicked him to the curb and kept on playing. But that was 50 years ago, back when men were men, women were owned, and The blacks rode in the back of the bus.

    Another WorldView Is Possible

    @C-Dawg The Heart doesn’t self-repair. Myocarditis is 4 Life.

    Steph M

    No way a doctor would clear him to ever play again. NFL would never put him back on the field. Plus his lungs were damaged from the CPR. Going to take a long time for them to heal. The fact he coded twice means his heart had a hard time coming back to life and staying beating. He more than likely has heart damage from the two cardiac arrests (on the field and in the ambulance on the way to the hospital). This is WAY WAY more serious than people realize.

    Another WorldView Is Possible

    @Steph M He had heart damage – before the game even started.

    C E

    @Steph M wtf? No way…you are utterly stoobid and rong…….I do realize how serious it is….the sheeples have been attacking me for saying this clown will never play again.

I can see the nfl possibly redesigning the chest pads to help prevent this from happening. I know that this was a freak accident but if redesigning the pads help prevents this from happening then why not.

    Mike M

    @arthur douglas By redesign, he doesn’t mean the pads caused the injury. He means a potential new design, that might prevent the heart being compressed through contact

    REM

    @James Brauer Take supplements which are key if you’ve had this. Iverm…ectin…., NAC, Dandelion root capsules.

    James Brauer

    @REM 🙄 Troll fail.

    arthur douglas

    @Mike M I understand his point but I say it again.. the pad aren’t the issues there is no issue. No one saw this coming. So putting it on equipment is, in my opinion, dumb.

    They redesigned the helmets to prevent concussions and look player still get concussions

    It’s like with bubble wrap. No matter how many time you wrap it around something fragile, something will still end up broke.

    Mike M

    @arthur douglas “No one saw this coming”…So let’s not investigate it further, and if needed upgrade equipment? I’m sure players who are scared and still have to play, would like that reassurance.

    Newer helmets are meant to reduce the severity of concussions, no helmet claims to prevent them or ever has. And who on earth who takes a helmet that exposes themselves to a worse concussion, just because a concussion was going to happen? I’m going to war and will get shot anyways, so I’ll just use the Vietnam era vest, instead of modern body armor.

    That bubble wrap analogy probably shouldn’t see the light of day

arthur douglas

My heart goes out to Demar Hamilin as well as Tee Higgens. I hope he’s not reading to deeply into this and feeling guilty. There was nothing he could’ve done.

And also I want to acknowledge the NFL their backs are against a wall with the way the schedules now have to altered and they have to decide what to do concerning this game while also trying to be sensitive and mindful to both Bills and Bengals organization

    fuc-X

    Let’s have hope that T. Higgings is Ok.

The emotional intelligence among the chargers players is impressive. Eloquent, articulate, and empathetic. Well done.

Such a great answer. Are you willing to lay your life on the line for this career? Yes if it brings fulfillment and reason for your life

LEGION 13

Crazy with all the improvements & changes the NFL has taken with player safety it’s a crazy thing this happened but i think they will come up with something to try & prevent this happening again.

    Another WorldView Is Possible

    Mass experimental injections – cause DECREASED safety. The cardiac event was not CAUSED by that minor contact. That may have something to do with it…but Soccer players don’t do ‘contact’ – and it’s been happening with great frequency on the pitch.

I love that the Social Media team didn’t plug Eckeler in at the end with “would you like to see move videos like this, click here… ETC” great awareness

He brings up a good point about all the good the sport does, brings people together, brings donations and support to great causes. Good to hear when you start to hear all the negativity.
