This draft is full of Tackles and has a few single high safeties get them rd 2 and 3. There are 2 game changers at LB Parsons and JOK. We get one of these Studs and we can build the whole Defense around them.
All we need is a above average defense to be playoff contender

We are not picking up a linebacker with our first round pick. That’s not one of our needs. We’re either getting a safety or a good lineman
@Amazing Jaden they’ll obviously get safety help one way or another. One thing that’s good is that the longer safeties are on the market the lower their price will be. As far as drafting a safety, i hear there’s not a lot of depth at safety in this class, if that’s true, it would be wise to get one early. However, the OL needs some talent as well and is more of a premium position. I could see them going OL first.

I like Teven Jenkins or Trevon Moehrig in the first round. If we don’t pick Moehrig I think Grant or Holland would be nice. In the third I would like to pick us Spencer Brown for the Tackle depht.

I LOVE this approach. I am so hopeful that they pick up a real nasty, high ceiling, high athleticism high motor LB at 17 – you KNOW a few will be just sitting there – and have confidence they will be able to get both quality and depth at their other needs. Like many members of Raider Nation I am disappointed so far with the results of the Ferrell, Abrams and Arnette first round picks of past 2 years. the other thing I would be fine with – if they get a good trade-down offer – doing that and taking 5 in the first 80 in the draft v. 4
Let’s not write off arnette poor kid got two head injuries Ferrell missed last few games and now with Gus should turn the corner. Now as far as Abrams goes I think he will finally get the coaching he needs to be what we thought he should be
